Choose Life in the Spirit
The Lord says,
My Spirit living in you can do the impossible. It can conquer all. It is My pleasure to dwell with you. Being in My Presence is the fullness of joy, and at My right hand are pleasures forevermore. We were meant to be together. Let’s dwell together. Let’s sit together. Let’s talk late into the night together. Let’s make plans together. This is life in the Spirit. This is life in Me. This is the nature of the intimate Spirit-filled, Spirit-led life. It’s one of deep relationship, deep abiding and moving together. I long to have the status of your very best friend. I long to be the one you come to first. I Am the most faithful, most reliable, all knowing and all wise one.
I will not push My will on you. The things I’ve put inside your heart that make it race or fill with joy or anger — these are the things that you are called to. These are marks of destiny. And as you pick them up, pursue them and run after them, I desire to be there with you, running with you, helping you, contending for you, fighting for you, giving you grace for the effort. It is my joy and My pleasure to dwell with you, to commune without you, to be in unbroken, unhindered relationship with you.
Trust in the Lord
The Lord says,
I long that you trust me with your future. The visibility right now is very low. The uncertainty is very high. Reject anxiety and stress and pressure to have a plan. Choose Me instead. Choose trust instead. Choose the beautiful life of moving by the Spirit instead. It’s not on your watch. It’s not on your agenda. But the pieces fit together seamlessly, and the result is always beautiful when you wait on Me, when you trust in Me. Let Me be your hero.
I Am faithful. I know your every thought and your every desire. How could I forget about you? I cannot and I have not. Move closer. Draw closer. Come and sit with Me. I will be with you wherever you are. Come.
Joy Will Burst Forth
The Lord says,
Great geysers of joy will soon burst forth from your heart. We will not be in this place forever. Change is coming. A new season is coming, and we are entering into it even now. Hold on. Don’t give up hope. Don’t get lost inside of yourself. Come to Me. Talk with Me. Share your fears and your hopes and your dreams with Me.
Soon your heart will burst with great joy and light. It will be a spectacle. The celebration will be a wild and spontaneous spectacle. Get ready to celebrate. We are almost there.
2 Yahweh builds up Jerusalem;
Psalm 147:2-5
he gathers up the outcasts and brings them home.
3 He heals the wounds of every shattered heart.
4 He sets his stars in place, calling them all by their names.
5 How great is our God!
There’s absolutely nothing his power cannot accomplish,
and he has infinite understanding of everything.
The Lord Is Choosing the Unchosen
The Lord says,
I Am healing. I Am choosing. I Am healing the broken and choosing ones who have counted themselves out. I Am choosing ones who have agreed with the lie that they are not worthy, that they are unlovable, that they are failures. These I Am choosing, I Am restoring, I Am washing, and I Am breathing new life into. The outcasts, the additcts, the ones with no hope. These I Am choosing today and I Am transforming them into ones who will be called restored, healed, delivered, bold, mighty and fierce. These will easily recognize the difference in their life before and after a touch from Me. This change will be a great witness to families, to communities, and it will bring great purpose and wholeness to their souls. I Am choosing the unchosen today.
Strange Wonderful Change Is Near
The Lord says,
Just as animals can sense an earthquake or a weather system before people, so will I come to those who are low, those who are considered second class, those who are forgotten. To many of these I Am coming first. They will see and experience My Glory first.
Prepare your heart not to judge my move. Prepare your heart to welcome many who don’t look or think like you into My family. Make room in your heart and in your homes and your buildings because there will be many. Extend your tent pegs.
For a season, some others may be taking care of your own outcasts as they find Me. This will be a great collective, family of believers-wide effort. Prepare for strange new believers to be counted among you. Welcome them. It’s going to be messy.
Listen to My heartbeat. Get close so you can understand what I Am doing and what I Am calling you to in this new season. It will stretch you. It will push you. But it will be great fun even in the midst of the awkward and the learning as you go. This is life in the Spirit.
How to Respond
- Choose joy.
- Draw nearer to the Lord and choose to connect into deep relationship with Him. Your life will never be the same.
- Ask the Lord what preparations you need to make to be ready for the great changes that are coming.
- Choose to trust Him and speak freely with Him about your concerns and desires. He alone has the answers and holds the future in His hands.
- Say yes to loving those who look, sound, think and act differently. This is going to be a new normal – having very different, very unfamiliar people around as part of the Body of Believers. It will be strange, but it will be beautiful, fun, and it will bring great increase.
- Declare that the prodigals and outcasts in your family and circle will be among the first to experience the great move of the Glory of God.
