Today’s Readings:
James 1
1 John 5
Isaiah 61
10 I will sing and greatly rejoice in Yahweh!
Isaiah 61:10-11
My whole being vibrates
with shouts of joy in my God!
For he has dressed me with salvation
and wrapped me in the robe of his righteousness!
I appear like a bridegroom on his wedding day,
decked out with a beautiful sash,
or like a radiant bride adorned with sparkling jewels.
11 In the same way the earth produces its crops
and seeds spring up in a garden,
so will the Lord Yahweh cause righteousness and praise
to blossom before all the nations!
The Lord says,
Love is rising and expanding. My love inside of you is shining out and touching the lives of those around you. My love is causing hope to rise. Even in the midst of great uncertainty and in this place of low visibility, hope is rising as a side effect of my love. Joy is bubbling forth — the joy of My salvation, the joy of the season, the joy of remembering that I made the way back to Me through Jesus’s birth, sinless life, death and resurrection. Joy is simmering in hearts and is starting to bubble out.
My perfect peace is descending like a blanket on individuals and families. It is enveloping people and wrapping them like a protective covering.
Listen to your heart’s cry. What is it seeking? Are you looking for love? Seek Jesus. Are you looking for hope? His Name is Jesus. Are you looking for peace? Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Are you looking for certainty? For reassurance? Seek Jesus. He is your anchor and strong tower when all else shakes around you.
10 Those who believe in the Son of God have the living testimony in their hearts. Those who don’t believe have made God out to be a liar by not believing the testimony God has confirmed about his Son. 11 This is the true testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life has its source in his Son.12 Whoever has the Son has eternal life; whoever does not have the Son does not possess eternal life.
1 John 5:10-11
Jesus is the Resurrection and the life. He is the answer to all that troubles you. He is the path to reconciliation. He is the path to restoration of peace in your soul. He is the one who has released the Comforter, Holy Spirit, to speak, to guide and to instruct you from within. Jesus is the bright shining light of truth that the world is longing for. And He has made you His city on a a hill — ones who shine and reflect His light. Release His light from within you, and release hope to those who see you.
20 And we know that the Son of God has made our understanding come alive so that we can know by experience the One who is true. And we are in him who is true, God’s Son, Jesus Christ—the true God and eternal life! 21 So, little children, guard yourselves from worshiping anything but him.
1 John 5:20-21
Take a step toward Jesus. Peer into His life and ways and character. You will find a very different man than the one who has been lied about by culture, by the enemy, by historians. His is a life of beauty, of self-sacrifice, of faultlessness and submission. His life is the one to admire and emulate. He is the one who defined true religion as caring for the orphans and the widows, feeding the poor and clothing the naked. He is the one who laid His life down, so you could live again in full freedom and victory – no longer bound by the chains of sin and death.
17 Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change. 18 God was delighted to give us birth by the truth of his infallible Word so that we would fulfill his chosen destiny for us and become the favorite ones out of all his creation!
James 1:17-18
Take a step toward Jesus. Take a step closer. Renew your vows of love to Jesus. Honor His Name and His life on Earth this season. Celebrate, because He sits at My right Hand and intercedes for you day and night. It’s a beautiful picture and a true one. It sounds too good to be true, but that is how I do everything I do. I Am the God of exceedingly, abundantly more than you could ask or imagine. I Am the God of too good to be true, yet still true. Rest in My faithfulness. Trust in My superabundance, and step closer to Jesus. He made your free life possible.
