Isaiah 61-63
61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Isaiah 61:1-4
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;
2 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
4 Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins,
They will raise up the former devastations;
And they will repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.
The Lord says,
Days of worlds colliding are here. Days of injustice running headlong into a brick wall of justice are here. Days of brokenness, sin, wrong choices and even perversion finding hope, grace, restoration and transformation in the blinding light of the goodness of Jesus Christ are here. Evil and justice are colliding. Brokenness, burdens and sickness are colliding with the goodness and the grace of God Almighty.
11 Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth,
Isaiah 62:11-12
Say to the daughter of Zion, “Lo, your salvation comes;
Behold His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him.”
12 And they will call them, “The holy people,
The redeemed of the Lord”;
And you will be called, “Sought out, a city not forsaken.”
We have indeed been on a collision course, and many crashes are expected ahead. All will be the result of My goodness. I Am bringing justice for the people, and I Am restoring many hearts, lives, emotions, identities, bodies and pasts. My justice, mercy and grace are on display in this hour and season for all to see and experience. The people are tasting now and will indeed taste and see that I Am good, holy, worthy and the Only Wise King. They will see Me as their gentle, fierce, loving, protective and all-powerful Father. They will know that I Am God.
4 “For the day of vengeance was in My heart,
Isaiah 63:4
And My year of redemption has come.
This collision course, this course of many collisions, is jarring people’s eyes open. Some collisions will feel like unexpected speed bumps. Others will feel like full-impact collisions. This is not a time of smooth sailing for those who have been asleep and remain asleep still. It will be a jarring time for all, though some are better prepared, better braced for impact.
6 On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen;
Isaiah 62:6-7
All day and all night they will never keep silent.
You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves;
7 And give Him no rest until He establishes
And makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Rest and know that I Am God. Trust in Me, and keep your eyes on Me. Watch as I perform work that has been long prayed for. This is the season of harvests. Many will reap what they have sown — for better or for worse. Yet My mercy will spare some of their full harvest because of their posture of repentance. My grace is sufficient to see you through this. Indeed, some harvests will be glorious, beautiful and worth many celebrations. They will say, what a strange time we are in. This is a very strange time indeed.
11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
Isaiah 61:11
And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
To spring up before all the nations.
It is time for the harvests, and they are coming forth now. It is time for the chickens to come home to roost, and indeed they are marching home now. It is time for many collisions with My justice, grace and mercy. The landscape of the world around you is changing at this very moment. Hear Me, nothing will remain the same. Nothing.
How to Respond
- Rejoice and worship, because the days of prayers being answered are here! The days of the fulfillment of promises are here!
- Remind the Lord of all that you have been praying for — for yourself, your family, your nation and the world.
- Position your heart in humility and anticipation.
- Purpose to show kindness and love to your family, your brothers and sisters in Christ and those the Lord puts in your path.
- Declare, the Lord is moving in justice, grace and mercy, and it will change the world.
- Decree, the Lord’s justice, grace and mercy, will change power structures, world systems, lives, families and nations forever. The Lord is moving in power to bring great freedom to the people. Hell does not stand a chance.
