Today’s Readings:
Psalm 138
Isaiah 44

7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
8 The Lord will accomplish what concerns me;
Your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

Psalm 138:7-8

The Lord says,
I’m planting hope in hearts for the days ahead. I’m casting vision in minds for the days to come. It’s been a hard season of spiritual battle, of personal pruning, of cleansing and of leaving former things and former ways behind. It’s time be flooded with hope. It’s time to look ahead to the days unseen and believe for My best. It’s time to believe for a beautiful world for children, for innocence, for family and community. It’s time to believe that the best days are ahead, not behind. It’s time to believe that you are the head and not the tail. It’s time to believe for breakthrough — for My breakthrough, My follow through, My powerful move of shifts and change. Fill your heart and your mind with thoughts of hope, of excitement. Dare to dream again. Dare to believe again. Dare to live in outrageous hope.

138 I will give You thanks with all my heart;
I will sing praises to You before the gods.
2 I will bow down toward Your holy temple
And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name.
3 On the day I called, You answered me;
You made me bold with strength in my soul.

Psalm 138:1-3

I will return your heart and your mind to days of innocence, days of freedom, days without worry. You must step in that direction by faith. You must put your hope in action by taking one step and then the next toward better days, toward brighter days, toward lighter days, toward joyous days. Command the weights that are dragging your heart down to be released. Cut all ties with heaviness and discouragement and disbelief. Walk in unshakeable faith toward glorious, immeasurably better days to come. Quiet the raging in your soul. Quiet the arguments and fears in your mind. Command them all to cease. Command them all to be quiet. And sing. Sing yourself into hope. Sing yourself into peace. Sing yourself into joy. These are the weapons of our warfare. They are not carnal, but mighty to take down strongholds — internally and externally.

4 All the kings of the earth will give thanks to You, O Lord,
When they have heard the words of Your mouth.
5 And they will sing of the ways of the Lord,
For great is the glory of the Lord.
6 For though the Lord is exalted,
Yet He regards the lowly,
But the haughty He knows from afar.

Psalm 138:4-6

Sing yourself strong. Sing yourself to faith. Sing happy songs. Sing victory songs. Sing songs of My faithfulness. You own your mental turnaround. You own your mindset change. And a mind set on hope is a mind that is available — like a runway or a landing pad for beautiful change, for beautiful turnarounds, for wonderful opportunities. Position yourself to be one who can receive great and glorious things from My Hand. Position yourself to receive. Position yourself for blessing.

24 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, “I, the Lord, am the maker of all things,
Stretching out the heavens by Myself
And spreading out the earth all alone,
25 Causing the omens of boasters to fail,
Making fools out of diviners,
Causing wise men to draw back
And turning their knowledge into foolishness,
26 Confirming the word of His servant
And performing the purpose of His messengers.
It is I who says of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be inhabited!’
And of the cities of Judah, ‘They shall be built.’
And I will raise up her ruins again.

Isaiah 44:24-26

Clear out the fear, the doubt, the thoughts that cause anger and distress to swirl inside of you. Clear them out with songs of hope, and position yourself for the greatest downpour of blessings on your life that you have ever seen. Position yourself to receive. Position yourself to receive like the woman Elijah instructed to borrow many jars. Position yourself in great expectation of more good than you can collect on your own. Position yourself to receive good gifts, wonderful blessings, amazing turnarounds and unexpected opportunity. Yes, position yourself to receive. Live that light and buoyant life of joy-filled faith. Live in expectation. Position yourself to receive. Trust and watch for the downpour.

How to Respond

  • Sit with the Lord. Ask Him to highlight areas of your life that you are lacking in faith, where you are discouraged, where you have lost hope. Ask Him for strategies to fill those places up with belief. Ask for songs that will encourage your spirit, and play and sing them on repeat until your mindset matches the message.
  • Pray, thank You Lord that You are moving for change, for good, for blessing and turnaround. Help me to not miss one thing that you have for me. Help me to position myself for your downpour of blessing and gifts.
  • Declare, the Lord is absolutely good, and He is moving us to better days — safer, more pure days for family and community, for unity and worship.
  • Decree, the Lord has given me everything I need to change my mindset, to tear down strongholds in my own ways of thinking and to position myself for the greatest blessings I have ever seen.
