Today’s Readings:
Psalm 128
128 How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord,
Psalm 128:1-3
Who walks in His ways.
2 When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands,
You will be happy and it will be well with you.
3 Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine
Within your house,
Your children like olive plants
Around your table.
The Lord says,
Follow My joy. Follow My peace. Put your trust in Me. Put your hope in Me. Put all of your eggs in the basket that is marked, “My God will come through for me.” I never lie, I never lose, and I never fail. I’m not about to start now. We have entered the new days. We have left the season of bleak darkness, of wilderness and of the dry place. It’s time to change out of that wilderness survival mindset. It’s time to put on the living abundant life mindset. It’s time to put on the the clothes of excitement, anticipation and living out loud. It’s time to be who you really are. It’s time to leave those protective mechanisms and inner shields from the wilderness days behind. Instead, it is time to be dressed boldly, beautifully, honestly as the live-out-loud, joy-filled, Spirit-filled person I made you to be. These are days of bold decisions, bold stances and bold forward action.
4 Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed
Psalm 128:4
Who fears the Lord.
These are days to follow where My light leads, where My grace brings acceleration, and where My pleasure causes great ease for your heart and mind. We have entered the big season of clarity, of change, of new and of choices. If you purpose to follow Me in this place and not get distracted by all that is on offer, if you purpose and determine deeply to keep your eyes on Me, My light, My grace, My pleasure — the decisions will be easy and the time of great friction and frustration will move swiftly into the rear view mirror.
These are days where if you follow My lead, it will be like you are dancing with an expert partner who leads with grace, elegance and decisive strength. If you fight me as you try to dance with Me, I Am likely to step on your toes. Submit to My leading, and watch the ease with which you navigate the days ahead.
5 The Lord bless you from Zion,
Psalm 128:5-6
And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
6 Indeed, may you see your children’s children.
Peace be upon Israel!
Choose joy. Choose laughter. Choose fun. Choose to dance, to sing, to worship and enjoy. Leave behind those dry days and your once dry ways. This is a season of abundance, of opportunity, of change, and if you allow it — unrelenting joy. My grace is with you, and My grace is going before you, to ease you into what’s next.
How to Respond
- Determine to trust the Lord completely with these days ahead and this new season.
- Stir up affection for the Lord in your heart. Stir up hope, excitement and anticipation for what He is about to do.
- Pray, Lord Jesus, I love You. Thank You for going before me, for making a way, for bringing me out of the wilderness even if I can’t see it yet. Thank you for days of change, opportunity and for your grace. Help me to be a good dance partner and to enjoy every moment of this new season and place.
- Declare, the Lord has brought me out of the dry, barren place. He has brought me out of the wilderness into a place of clarity, abundance and grace.
- Decree, I will submit to the Lord’s leading. I will put all of my trust and hope in Him. I will not fight for control, and I will not fear the days ahead. I will follow the Lord’s light, grace and pleasure into the new things He has prepared for me.
