Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 35
Isaiah 54
35 The wilderness and the desert will be glad,
Isaiah 35:1-2
And the Arabah will rejoice and blossom;
Like the crocus
2 It will blossom profusely
And rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,
The majesty of Carmel and Sharon.
They will see the glory of the Lord,
The majesty of our God.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
It’s resurrection time. It’s resurrection season. It’s time for new life to spring forth vigorously and bountifully. Scarcely have the seasons changed, and yet they change again. Before what is dying on the tree has time to drop, new life will spring up beside it. The quick change of seasons will be unexpected, will be disorienting, will be perplexing. New life is rising up, and things long dead are rising up too. It’s a time of new life and resurrected life. It’s a time of new life springing forth and new life resurrecting what was long believed to be dead. Both kinds of life are springing forth. Truth is rising. Wisdom is rising. Justice is rising, and light is rushing in.
3 Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble.
Isaiah 35:3-4
4 Say to those with anxious heart,
“Take courage, fear not.
Behold, your God will come with vengeance;
The recompense of God will come,
But He will save you.”
Truth is rising, and truth will take its strong, firm, immovable place seemingly overnight. Truth will arrive with a permanency and an immovability, and the forces against truth will not be able to undercut, hide, destroy or remove it. They may deny truth with their speech, but truth will tower over them and be ever at their back, ever looming, overshadowing them. Truth will bear much fruit, and truth will have fun doing it.
Truth will not stand there stoic as you might assume. Truth will do taunting dances. Truth will have extraordinary fun. Truth will jeer and make fun of the lies and the liars, and truth will have a jolly time doing it. This is not the stoic truth of old. This is truth with personality, who knows its place of immovability. This is truth that will not stand there silently. Truth is coming with a sense of humor and with a vengeance. Truth is not only immovable. It cannot be silenced, quieted or shouted over loud enough to discourage it from further remarks. Truth will pay back all the public devices of the enemies, the liars and the thieves. The mocking that has been done of truth and righteousness will be sent back ten fold onto the liars, mockers and thieves. Oh yes, truth will not be silent, and truth will not forget.
4 “Fear not, for you will not be put to shame;
Isaiah 54:4-5
And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced;
But you will forget the shame of your youth,
And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.
5 “For your husband is your Maker,
Whose name is the Lord of hosts;
And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel,
Who is called the God of all the earth.
Truth is being resurrected. A value for truth is likewise waking. New life and new truth are springing forth. Those with assignments to kill truth have failed and will continue to fail, but they won’t know it until it’s too late. Their toxic recipe for killing truth has been rendered inert. This is a season of resilient truth. This kind of truth cannot be killed by that kind of poison, by the old kind of poison, by old tactics and ways. This strain of truth, this crop of truth is much too strong for that. This truth comes with the strength and the roar of a pride of lions, roaring all across the plain. This truth will make mens’ hair stand on edge, will make them swallow and shudder in fear. This truth will stand in dominion. This truth will clearly send the message, do not tread on Me.
How to Respond
- Keep your heart and mind pure before the Lord. Give no place and no value to lies. Refuse lies at every level.
- Pray, Lord, bring truth forward as You have said. Resurrect truth that has long been forgotten and believed to be dead, and bring forward new truth that seems out of season and perplexing. Bring truth to every aspect of society. Cause truth to rise in visibility. Cause truth’s voice and sound to be heard clearly, and cause every lie and liar to be overshadowed, overwhelmed and overcome by the truth.
- Declare, the Lord is resurrecting truth and is causing new truth to come to life out of season. The Lord will cause the truth to taunt, mock and have great fun at the expense of the lies and the liars. The truth will be much louder than the lies, and the truth will not be killed, hidden, distracted from or overtaken by lies or liars.
- Decree, I stand on the side of truth. I will watch as truth overcomes lies and liars. I will rejoice in the truth alongside the truth tellers. I will enjoy the show as truth taunts and mocks the lies and makes fools out of the liars. The truth will reign, and the truth will mark out clear boundaries that do not accept or tolerate the encroachment of lies or liars.
