Today’s Reading:
Psalm 63
63 O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly;
Psalm 63:1
My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You,
In a dry and weary land where there is no water.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Wave on wave. Glory waves. Wave upon wave upon wave of My glory is cresting and crashing. You can find My glory in My Presence. Seek Me and you shall find Me, if you seek Me with all your heart. Knock and the door will be opened unto you. Do you desire to experience the weight and the impact of My glory? Do you long for an extra measure of My Presence? Come. Come. Come. Come sit and dwell with Me. Come carve out time for just Me. Come and welcome My Presence. Worship without distraction. Clear your heart and mind and beckon Me to come. I will indeed come, and My reward will come with Me. My glory will rise and fall upon you in the secret place or in the corporate place of pure worship. Come.
2 Thus I have seen You in the sanctuary,
Psalm 63:2-4
To see Your power and Your glory.
3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips will praise You.
4 So I will bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name.
Come to the place where My glory dwells. It is available, and it is active. It will wash over you like a chill, like the embrace of a lover, like a pleasant ocean wave. Come. Be transformed in My glory. Be moved and healed and renewed in My glory. Come. The invitation is an open one. Come. This is the intimate place to share secrets. I will share Mine too. This is like a lovers’ nest, where hearts are shared and dreams and heartbreaks, mistakes and the rest. There is nowhere safer than in My glory. It is sacred space, sacred ground.
5 My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
Psalm 63:5-8
And my mouth offers praises with joyful lips.
6 When I remember You on my bed,
I meditate on You in the night watches,
7 For You have been my help,
And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.
8 My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me.
Come. Beckon My waves of glory come. Beckon them to rise and fall upon you and within you. There is no place like My Presence, and My glory reveals Me in a greater measure. Come into the protective covering of My Presence, and enter the secret place where My glory rolls and crashes in gentle and mighty waves. Come. Gaze upon My beauty and let your imagination catch fire. My glory ignites a fire of passion, of creativity, of inspiration like nothing else can. Come.
How to Respond
- Get alone with the Lord, whatever that looks like for you. Worship and welcome His Presence, and ask for His glory to wash over you. Beckon His glory to come.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. You are most welcome here. Come and reveal Yourself. Come and make Yourself known. Come and show me Your glory. Share Your secrets with me. Reveal Your heart Lord.
- Declare, Holy Spirit is moving, and He is making His glory available. He is inviting me into His Presence and to experience the intimacy of His glory. He is changing hearts and lives in the secret place.
- Decree, I long to dwell in the courts of the Lord. I desire to live with a recognition of the Presence of the Lord my God. I will pursue the Lord, His Presence, His face and His glory. I will experience the glory of the Lord for myself, and I will continue to fall deeper in love with the Lord.
