Today’s Reading:
1 Chronicles 15
2 Chronicles 5
Ezra 3

15 The sons of the Levites carried the ark of God on their shoulders with the poles thereon, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord. 16 Then David spoke to the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their relatives the singers, with instruments of music, harps, lyres, loud-sounding cymbals, to raise sounds of joy.

19
So the singers, Heman, Asaph and Ethan were appointed to sound aloud cymbals of bronze;

25 So it was David, with the elders of Israel and the captains over thousands, who went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord from the house of Obed-edom with joy. 26 Because God was helping the Levites who were carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams. 27 Now David was clothed with a robe of fine linen with all the Levites who were carrying the ark, and the singers and Chenaniah the leader of the singing with the singers. David also wore an ephod of linen. 28 Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with sound of the horn, with trumpets, with loud-sounding cymbals, with harps and lyres.

1 Chronicles 15:15-16,19,25-28

This morning when I asked the Lord what was on His heart, He said justice, and it sounded like a cymbal when He said it. When I asked Him to help me understand, the Spirit of the Lord said,
An instrument of praise will be used to bring justice. He directed me to look cymbals up in the Bible. Interestingly almost every instance of the mention of cymbals was related to worship that involved David or was in the manner that David instructed. The use of cymbals in worship was closely tied to the celebrations marking the returning of the Ark of the Covenant to Israel, the dedication of Solomon’s Temple, the rebuilding of the Second Temple and the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem.

11 When the priests came forth from the holy place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without regard to divisions), 12 and all the Levitical singers, Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and their sons and kinsmen, clothed in fine linen, with cymbals, harps and lyres, standing east of the altar, and with them one hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets 13 in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the Lord saying, “He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting,” then the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.

2 Chronicles 5:11-14

Then The Spirit of the Lord said,
This instrument of praise will be like my David. He will value and be more concerned with bringing Me honor and praise than caring for the opinions of men and women. He will value My opinion more than that of men and women. He will look with derision upon the wisdom of men and the ungodly, immoral values of the culture of today, and his sounds of praise will bring justice to a land on the brink. His sounds of praise will call in scores and scores of angel armies to do battle on his behalf and on behalf of the people. Justice will sound like a cymbal. It will rise up amidst the sounds of true worship, honor and praise. As My lovers get caught up in the adoration of Me, I will release justice on the earth. I will send out angel armies of vast numbers. The way to win this war is worship. The way to keep your heart pure is worship. The way to keep your path straight and narrow and well-lit is worship. Worship is the way.

10 Now when the builders had laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord according to the directions of King David of Israel. 11 They sang, praising and giving thanks to the Lord, saying, “For He is good, for His lovingkindness is upon Israel forever.” And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the Lord because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.

Ezra 3:10,11

When you hear a great clash of cymbals, you will know that justice is being released in the earth. Look for cymbals. Listen for the cymbals. They are markers and signs of My justice being released. Watch them multiply in number before your eyes. Cymbals will be the symbol of My justice marching through the land. Call for an increase of worship. Call for cymbals to be added to the worship. Theirs is the sound that will mark and usher in My justice. Participate in unceasing worship. Call for the cymbals to join in to the worship. Let your praises rise up, and watch My justice go forth like a mighty storm, like a storm of mighty storm troopers with assignments all over the world.

Some interesting points to note:
King David was the second ruler of the united kingdom of ancient Israel and Judah, who reigned for 40 years between approximately 1010 and 970 BCE. He founded the Judaean dynasty and united all the tribes of Israel under a single monarch. David is known for his diverse skills as both a warrior and a writer of psalms. He united the people of Israel, led them to victory in battle, conquered land, and paved the way for his son, Solomon, to build the Holy Temple. https://www.britannica.com/biography/David

The Levites that David appointed to worship with cymbals were Heman, Asasph, Jeduthun and Ethan. Heman’s name means “faithful.” Asaph means “who gathers together.” Jeduthun means “lauder and praising,” and Ethan means, “firm, enduring, strong & long-lived.” I believe this is a strategy for how to worship in a way that releases justice. When the faithful who are strong, firm and enduring gather together and worship in joy and unceasing praise, the Presence of the Lord will show up in power.

The cymbals of the Bible were meant to be loud instruments. They were handheld cymbals that involved a clashing together to make their sound. I get the sense that there will be a great clashing sound made as justice is released.

How to Respond

  • Prioritize worship in your personal life and home, and make it a priority to participate in worship services.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit come. Thank You for a strategy from Heaven for the release of justice in the land. Come Lord. Bring Your justice. You are most welcome here. We love You Lord. We need You Lord. Thank You for seeing us and making a way for justice and healing through the worship of your faithful and steadfast ones.
  • Declare, as we raise songs of worship and a clash of cymbals, the Lord will release angel armies to storm the world with His justice.
  • Decree, the Lord will use an instrument of worship to bring justice. Cymbals in worship will be the sound that mark the release of justice across the world.
