Today’s Reading:
John 14
John 16
Isaiah 43
“And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!””
John 16:33 TPT
The Spirit of the Lord says,
My grace is sufficient for the troubles. You will see the stirring up of troubled waters. You will see the stirring up of a great, dark storm. Do not give way to fear. I have given you the grace to walk through troubled times, to easily walk through troubled waters. The storm is upon us. The storm of unleashed chaos is upon us. But I Am here, hovering in your midst. The covering of My peace is here, is available for you. You can put on peace like a rain jacket. You can wear its hood to protect your mind from the storm. Cover yourself with My peace. The storm is here.
“Jesus replied, “Loving me empowers you to obey my word. And my Father will love you so deeply that we will come to you and make you our dwelling place. But those who don’t love me will not obey my words. The Father did not send me to speak my own revelation, but the words of my Father. But when the Father sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like me who sets you free, he will teach you all things in my name. And he will inspire you to remember every word that I’ve told you. “I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!”
John 14:23-24, 26-27 TPT
The storm is here, and more storm is coming. Yet you have nothing to fear. You can be at perfect peace in the midst of the storm. Remain at your battle station. Keep your eyes trained on Me. Mine is a ship that will long outlast the storm. Mine is the ship that will carry you through to the new day. You have nothing to fear, but the storm is upon us. Don the raincoat of My peace, and choose to keep your eyes on Me. Peer out on the horizon. You can see the slimmest line of light amidst all of the gathering darkness. That is the new day, the day of promise. That is the era of change. That is freedom. The only way there is through. The only way there is through.
Live in hope. Live in peace. Recount My faithfulness. Speak the beautiful words of your testimonies. The storm will be over soon enough. The only way to the new day is through.
How to Respond
- Choose to put on the peace of the Lord. Refuse anxiety, stress and frenzy.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Thank You for Your provision of peace, and thank You for Your presence. You always provide for me. Help me to be positioned in the place of my calling. Help me to be unmoved by the shaking, the troubled waters and the storm. I want to be rightly placed and rightly focused for this moment. Help me to keep my eyes on You and not be baited into fear by the storm.
- Declare, the Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. His is an unshakeable Kingdom. Though the mountains may fall and the hills may be removed, the lovingkindness of the Lord remains forever, and His covenant of peace will not be broken.
- Decree, I will be found in the place of my calling. I will don the raincoat of peace even in advance of the storm. I will keep my eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith. I will not give way to fear, anxiety or stress. I will not be moved by the chaos. I will be among those who travel unscathed with the Lord into the dawning of the new day.
