Today’s Reading:
Romans 5
“For when the time was right, the Anointed One came and died to demonstrate his love for sinners who were entirely helpless, weak, and powerless to save themselves. Now, would anyone dare to die for the sake of a wicked person? We can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly noble person. But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly! And there is still much more to say of his unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in my sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God. So if while we were still enemies, God fully reconciled us to himself through the death of his Son, then something greater than friendship is ours. Now that we are at peace with God, and because we share in his resurrection life, how much more we will be rescued from sin’s dominion! And even more than that, we overflow with triumphant joy in our new relationship of living reconciled to God—all because of Jesus Christ!”
Romans 5:6-11 TPT
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Choices are arising. Hard choices are arising. Path carving choices are arising. This is a time that reveals men’s hearts. This is a time that shows what women are made of. This is a time of revealing, and it will surprise many. Many who you believed were lovers of the Lord will be found to choose the selfish path, the easy path. Many who you believed to be enemies of Mine, enemies of yours, enemies of light will choose the difficult, the narrow, the love-filled, light-filled way.
“So then, the law was introduced into God’s plan to bring the reality of human sinfulness out of hiding. And yet, wherever sin increased, there was more than enough of God’s grace to triumph all the more! And just as sin reigned through death, so also this sin-conquering grace will reign as king through righteousness, imparting eternal life through Jesus, our Lord and Messiah!”
Romans 5:20-21 TPT
A pressure is coming, and it will squeeze. It will squeeze, and those decisions that had been pre-decided in men’s hearts will be squeezed out for all to see. Sin does abound. And grace will abound much more — grace for the courageous ones, grace for the straight and narrow ones, grace for the ones who choose the right way, the narrow way, the light-filled, love-filled way. My grace abounds for them regardless of their past, regardless of their attire, their markings, their previous affiliations. My grace will come for those who love truth and pursue it.
The choice of ignorance is real. The choice to the easy path of low resistance is real. The path to selfish gain is real, and it is wide open to all.
“Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory! But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us!”
Romans 5:1-5 TPT
I speak of a time of a great squeezing and a time of a great pressure that will expose what men and women are made of, what decisions have been etched in their hearts and the mettle with which they have to steel themselves against tyranny. These are the times that try men’s souls and reveal men’s hearts, reveal men’s character, reveal men’s fortitude, and reveal their anchor and their foundation. Be found on the side of right. Be found as one who chooses the straight and narrow, the difficult but light and love-filled path. This is the way to life. This is way to life more abundant. This is the path of My heart.
How to Respond
- Get into the Word of God. Pursue the Lord and pursue wisdom to discern all that you will face.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Fortify me Lord. Lead me in the path of righteousness. Help me to walk tightly and closely to you, so that I am not deceived or led off-track. I want to be one who is found to be courageous, bold, in pursuit of truth and walking on the straight and narrow, light-filled, love-filled path.
- Declare, great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. He makes a way where there is no way. He has always made a way for me, and He has made one now.
- Decree, I will follow the voice and instruction of the Lord. I choose Him before all else. I will be found among those who love truth, who pursue the Lord and who walk the way of the difficult but straight and narrow, light-filled, love-filled path of God.
