Psalm 16
Yahweh, you alone are my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion. You hold my destiny and its timing in your hands. Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following you!
Psalms 16:5-6 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God of Truth says,
Transition is here. New momentum is here. Fresh purpose for the road ahead is here. Final equipping for the next leg of the journey is here, and the rest and refilling you need for that is here too. The road I Am carving out before you is a road that I have supernaturally created. You will have one direction of travel, and once you are on it, there is no turning back. It is carved out, and getting off of this protected, determined destiny road will be difficult if you try.
The way you counsel me makes me praise you more, for your whispers in the night give me wisdom, showing me what to do next. Because I set you, Yahweh, always close to me, my confidence will never be weakened, for I experience your wraparound presence every moment.
Psalms 16:7-8 TPT
It will be important and healthy to stay on this carved out path. Divine connections are on this road. Protected acceleration is on this road. Great grace for advancement is on this road. And veering off of this path, this protected path is not recommended. This is a path that will be very difficult to leave and nearly impossible to reenter if departed from it. But the grace, the love, the thickness of My Presence, My pleasure and My delight are found here. This is a road upon which advancement will seem nearly effortless, and little delights and big delights will greet you along the path. I have surprises in store for you along this protected, supernaturally carved out path. Your job is to remain faithful, remain in Me, continue moving forward and stay on the path. It’s that simple. It’s absolutely that simple.
My heart and soul explode with joy—full of glory! Even my body will rest confident and secure. For you will not abandon me to the realm of death, nor will you allow your Faithful One to experience corruption. Because of you, I know the path of life, as I taste the fullness of joy in your presence. At your right side I experience divine pleasures forevermore!
Psalms 16:9-11 TPT
Some things so great, so astounding are coming along this path that they will take your breath away, that they will overwhelm you. This is the testing of the blessing. Will you remain faithful in the gift? Will you be able to walk forward in the midst of the reality of such great gifts without shying away, without turning back to an old poverty mindset and old poverty way? The gifts may be so big that they cause fear and doubt to rise up in you. Will you have the courage to command those out of your soul and walk forward toward these beautiful gifts, these magnificent gifts, these astounding and breathtakingly brilliant gifts? Or will you back up and try to run away? This narrow path will confront you with blessing, will confront you with realities in your own heart that did not get dealt with in the desert. This narrow path, this protected and shored up supernatural path, this carved out path for you is causing you to walk forward into a new time and a new reality. It will be the great testing of the blessing. Will you have the strength to stand, to remain, to steward, to walk forward and receive? Will you be found faithful in the much?
How to Respond
- Stay on the path the Lord has carved out for you. Live in total obedience to Him.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for this new leg of the journey. Thank You that You are moving me along a protected path filled with new delights and blessing. Help me to allow You to bless me in this season and on this path. Help me to not shy away from the good and wonderful things You have prepared for me. Help me not to give in to feelings of inadequacy, unworthiness or lack. Help me to have the mindset of a son/daughter of the King
- Declare, I am a son/daughter of the Most High King. He is absolutely good, and every single good and perfect gift comes from Him — the Father of Heavenly Lights. His is a Kingdom of abundance, not lack.
- Decree, I will walk forward in bold confidence on the path the Lord has carved out in front of me. I will not allow fear to run me away from the blessings and gifts He has set before me. I will take on new responsibility, and I will live from the posture of royalty. I will be found faithful in the blessing and in abundance. I will not miss out on any single thing the Lord has for me.
