Today’s Reading:
Ephesians 6
Hebrews 6
2 Corinthians 6
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Ephesians 6:12-13 ESV
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Be resolute in the truth. Resolve is needed in this hour. This is not a time for wish washy Christianity. This is a time to stand and be firm. This is a time to not be moved. This is a time to advance on the offensive in truth. Those who are wave-tossed by public opinion, those whose doctrine is influenced by the voices of men and not by the study of the Word of God — they are not the ones who will be able to stand and withstand.
…And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakable hope! We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. He is now and forever our royal Priest like Melchizedek.
Hebrews 6:18b-20 TPT
The onslaught is coming. The storm waves are coming. Yet those who are anchored in Me have nothing to fear. Those whose anchor is truth have nothing to fear. The waves will come, but your anchor is secure. Your anchor is sure. You will see wave-tossed warriors. You will see ones battered by the storm who call themselves leaders. They have not anchored themselves firmly in truth. Their foundation is that of a mixture, and the mixture will not withstand the shaking and the storms. Pray that they grab ahold of you. Pray that they grab ahold of truth, because many whose foundation is mixture will not survive the storm, will not survive the shaking. Their positions will be vacated, and for the houses who love truth and desire truth — their posts will be given to another. The houses that do not love truth will be found empty and lacking in the day of their testing.
Don’t continue to team up with unbelievers in mismatched alliances, for what partnership is there between righteousness and rebellion? Who could mingle light with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and Satan? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What friendship does God’s temple have with demons? For indeed, we are the temple of the living God, just as God has said: I will make my home in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. For this reason, “Come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord. “Touch nothing that is unclean, and I will embrace you. I will be a true Father to you, and you will be my beloved sons and daughters,” says the Lord Yahweh Almighty.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 TPT
Truth is written in the hearts of man. Ignoring that truth has consequences — both now and in eternity. These are days of extraordinary testing for those in the House of the Lord and those who stand on the outside. My true lovers, those whose lives are firmly anchored in truth have nothing to fear. Their anchor will hold, and they will stand. A world of hurt and upheaval is coming to many others.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord stir up a fresh love for truth in me. Give me a heart of compassion and a word for those who cross my path — those who love You, those who need You and those who are deceived and living in mixture. Lord, I desire that none have to be tossed by the storms and the waves that are coming. I pray for the church leaders who have gone astray and those who have mingled the true Gospel. May they repent and turn back to You.
- Declare, the Lord my God is my anchor and shield. He is a strong tower of refuge and strength — a very present help in times of trouble.
- Decree, my anchor will hold. I am firmly rooted in truth. And the rock upon which I stand is my Savior, King Jesus. Though the storms and the winds and the waves may come, I will be protected and secure. When the storms subside I will be found anchored to my Lord, and I will be found standing.
