Today’s Reading:
Joel 2
Joel 3
Psalm 24
Psalm 118
The Lord roars from Zion, and utters his voice from Jerusalem, and the heavens and the earth quake. But the Lord is a refuge to his people, a stronghold to the people of Israel.
Joel 3:16 ESV
I saw a vision of a lion roaring while he was facing the east. Then I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Sound the trumpet in Zion. The king is coming! The king is coming!
Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle!
Psalm 24:8 ESV
Sound the trumpets in Zion. The National Zion Army is assembled. They are one, and they are marching forward under the direction of their commander, King Jesus. They are accompanied by a great myriad of angels. A great retinue of angels surrounds them and covers them, even goes out before them as they march as one.
Blow a trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming; it is near, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness! Like blackness there is spread upon the mountains a great and powerful people; their like has never been before, nor will be again after them through the years of all generations. Fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns. The land is like the garden of Eden before them, but behind them a desolate wilderness, and nothing escapes them.
Joel 2:1-3 ESV
Sound the trumpets in Zion. The king is coming! The king is coming! Prepare the way for the king! His glory will come. His glory is coming, and His glory will fill the whole Earth, just as the train of His robe fills the whole temple. All of His enemies have been defeated, and He is the reigning King of Zion and Lord of All. The Earth is His and the fullness thereof. His Kingdom lacks nothing, and His government is ever expanding. It is expanding inside of you. It is expanding around you.
The Lord utters his voice before his army, for his camp is exceedingly great; he who executes his word is powerful. For the day of the Lord is great and very awesome; who can endure it?
Joel 2:11 ESV
Sound the trumpets in Zion! The king is coming! Who is this king of glory, the Lord strong and mighty. These are days to worship and live in one accord. These are days to be of one heart and one mind. These are days to heed the command of the Lord Almighty. The king is coming. The king will take center stage.
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Save us, we pray, O Lord! O Lord, we pray, give us success! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We bless you from the house of the Lord.
Psalm 118:24-26 ESV
This is the day that the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it. Rejoice in the days that the Lord made for you to live. You were born for such a time as this.
How to Respond
- Seek unity in the body of Christ in alignment with the Word of God.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. I welcome You. I want to be a part of the great company, the great National Zion Army who marches as one under Your command, preparing the way of the Lord.
- Declare, I will love the Lord my God with all my mind, heart, soul and strength. I will love my neighbor as myself.
- Decree, I will pursue alignment with the Lord and unity in the body of Christ as the body of Christ aligns to the Word of God. I am a warrior in Zion’s army. I will march under the command of my Lord, King Jesus, and I will prepare the way of the Lord.
