Today’s Reading:
Psalm 18
His love broke open the way, and he brought me into a beautiful, broad place. He rescued me—because his delight is in me! He rewarded me for doing what’s right and staying pure. I will follow his commands and I’ll not sin by ceasing to follow him, no matter what.
Psalms 18:19-21 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God of all grace say,
Trust in Me to clothe and equip you for the days ahead. I Am preparing you for an influence campaign. You will influence both small and great, men and women, boys and girls. Your heart beats for Me, so I can trust you. I can grace you with the power of great influence. Use it wisely. Use it carefully.
And so Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, because I kept my heart clean before his eyes. Good people will taste your goodness. And to those who are loyal to you, you love to prove that you are loyal and true.
Psalms 18:24-25 TPT
The truth lives inside of you and flows from you. You are a place and a source of refreshing for many. You are a fountain of life, a wellspring of living water in the image of your Father, and I have made you a king. I have made you to rule and to reign with Me, with great influence, with up higher vision and perspective and with great authority and compassion. I will give you My eyes to see, and I will further enable your ears to hear My voice of instruction. This is a place and a calling — a role of great significance that requires very deliberate, very careful action and use. This is not a place to operate out of your own understanding, out of your own assumptions or desires. This is a place where it is incredibly important to only move when you hear My voice. You will need to live in the place up higher where you catch and live in My vision. Because with this greater influence comes greater authority, and your words have more power. Wield them purposefully, carefully, deliberately. You cannot shoot them off like a loose cannon, or there will be serious damage done.
Could there be any other god like Yahweh? For there is not a more secure foundation than you. God, you have wrapped me in power and made my way perfect. Through you I ascend to the highest peaks to stand strong and secure in you.
Psalms 18:31-33 TPT
This is a warning and an anointing — a coronation really — for the new work I Am calling you to do. Speak wisely. Speak carefully. Be deliberate. Let your words be few, because they wield incredible power. Walk in My grace and the authority I have given you. Do not shrink back. Do not try and make yourself small. This is a call to influence and kingship. Step into it.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord, help me to see things from Your perspective. Help me to feel things with Your heart. Help me to influence the people You bring around me for Your purposes and Your Kingdom’s sake. Without You I can do nothing. Help me to live carefully in the anointing and authority You have placed on me.
- Declare, You’ve trained me with the weapons of warfare-worship; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You empower me for victory with your wraparound presence. Your power within makes me strong to subdue. By stooping down in gentleness, you made me great! – Psalms 18:34-35 TPT
- Decree, I will walk by faith and not by sight. I will step into this new level of authority and anointing the Lord has placed on me. I will not live carelessly. I will seek to see from the Lord’s perspective, hear His voice and know His heart, so I can operate as a son/daughter of the Most High King. I will use the authority He has delegated to me to accomplish His purposes in the Earth.
