Today’s Reading:
Joel 2
Psalm 107

Blow a trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, For the day of the Lord is coming; Surely it is near, A day of darkness and gloom, A day of clouds and thick darkness. As the dawn is spread over the mountains, So there is a great and mighty people; There has never been anything like it, Nor will there be again after it To the years of many generations.
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God of all creation say,
The galloping of wild horses is on the horizon. They will drive the scene forward from darkness to light. They are coming with great urgency and power. As they arrive on the scene and drive the day, the message, the narrative and the people forward, you will wonder and many will wonder in awe, and say, “this pace is too much for us. How can we sustain this pace?” Yet these horses who seemed to emerge from nowhere, out of the darkness, out of the shadows will drive you forth powerfully and aggressively into the light of a new day.

A fire consumes before them And behind them a flame burns. The land is like the garden of Eden before them But a desolate wilderness behind them, And nothing at all escapes them. Their appearance is like the appearance of horses; And like war horses, so they run. With a noise as of chariots They leap on the tops of the mountains, Like the crackling of a flame of fire consuming the stubble, Like a mighty people arranged for battle. Before them the people are in anguish; All faces turn pale.
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

As you go the terrain will change quickly. You will feel as if you have been caught up in a whirlwind. You will feel as though your life and your feet could never have carried you this far this fast. Yet what seemed impossible, what seemed like it would have required decades or even centuries to reach this forward edge of advancement was driven by the unrelenting pace of the wild horses I sent from the shadows.

They run like mighty men, They climb the wall like soldiers; And they each march in line, Nor do they deviate from their paths. They do not crowd each other, They march everyone in his path; When they burst through the defenses, They do not break ranks. They rush on the city, They run on the wall; They climb into the houses, They enter through the windows like a thief. Before them the earth quakes, The heavens tremble, The sun and the moon grow dark And the stars lose their brightness. The Lord utters His voice before His army; Surely His camp is very great, For strong is he who carries out His word. The day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome, And who can endure it?
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬-‭11‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Days of change and exceedingly rapid change are rumbling and growing nearer. It’s futile to fight the change or dig in your heels. Don’t get drug behind the horses that I’ve sent from the shadows. Allow them to drive you with extraordinary, supernatural haste across the terrain of many changes into the new day. The people driven by the horses will say, “these are wild times. We thought the times were wild and then this, and now this. We are living in the most surprising and accelerated and wildest of times in history.” And you will laugh with wonder, joy, excitement and delight — even as you hold onto your hat and are driven forward unrelentingly and with unprecedented haste.

So rejoice, O sons of Zion, And be glad in the Lord your God; For He has given you the early rain for your vindication. And He has poured down for you the rain, The early and latter rain as before. The threshing floors will be full of grain, And the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil. “Then I will make up to you for the years That the swarming locust has eaten, The creeping locust, the stripping locust and the gnawing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; Then My people will never be put to shame. Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, And that I am the Lord your God, And there is no other; And My people will never be put to shame.
‭‭Joel‬ ‭2‬:‭23‬-‭27‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Delay will be a faint memory as you span decades in days and centuries in weeks — all through this unrelenting, sometimes even punishing pace of acceleration to the new day.

How to Respond

  • Trust the Lord to set the pace of your life and the world around you.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit help me to be in the proper position for the stunning acceleration You are bringing to the world and to my life. Thank You for Your promise to make delay a faint memory as tremendous acceleration, change and new developments come my way. Give me the strength, endurance, will, wisdom and discernment to keep up with the pace You set.
  • Declare, His light broke through the darkness and he led us out in freedom from death’s dark shadow and snapped every one of our chains. So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvelous kindness and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves! For he smashed through heavy prison doors and shattered the steel bars that held us back, just to set us free! — Psalms‬ ‭107‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭TPT‬‬
  • Decree, the Lord is loosing acceleration with a powerful and authoritative, unrelenting drive forward. I choose and yield myself now to be driven by the Lord’s pace to the new day, and I will see such tremendous change in the world and in my life in a very short span of time.
