Then David the king went in and sat before the Lord, and he said, “Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house, that You have brought me this far? And yet this was insignificant in Your eyes, O Lord God, for You have spoken also of the house of Your servant concerning the distant future. And this is the custom of man, O Lord God. Again what more can David say to You? For You know Your servant, O Lord God! For the sake of Your word, and according to Your own heart, You have done all this greatness to let Your servant know. For this reason You are great, O Lord God; for there is none like You, and there is no God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
2 Samuel 7:18-22 NASB1995
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Choices are coming, and they will mark you for life. Be very sensitive to My Spirit in this time, because the choices that are coming will mark you for life. They will chart your destiny or undercut you. They will boost you and lift you or they will greatly injure your ability to walk out your calling. Fine tune your hearing, and don’t jump before I speak. Leaping before My instruction can spell disaster, while leaping at My instruction will ensure a safe and enjoyable landing.
Now, O Lord God, You are God, and Your words are truth, and You have promised this good thing to Your servant. Now therefore, may it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You. For You, O Lord God, have spoken; and with Your blessing may the house of Your servant be blessed forever.
2 Samuel 7:28-29 NASB1995
In this time of the open window of Heaven some opportunities will come to test you. Not all of the opportunities that present themselves or emerge in this period are for you. Some you should allow to pass you by. Some you should respond to with a firm “no.” Some you should review with great scrutiny in partnership with My Spirit, and all you should lay before Me — in submission, in seeking and in faith. This is a time where I’ve made it possible for you to get it all right. But you have to pursue My ways. You have to yield to My voice, My Spirit, My nudging. Don’t resist and don’t ignore My voice inside of you. If and when even a seemingly wildly great opportunity arises, if My Spirit gives you pause, if My Spirit causes you great discomfort with it, you will know to back away. It may not be the right timing, or it may be wrong altogether. Either way, your job is simple, though it may not feel easy — it is to submit your decisions to Me, to yield your decision making power to My voice and My Spirit.
May grace and perfect peace cascade over you as you live in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises we can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.
2 Peter 1:2-4 TPT
This is a time that can and I intend for it to open the door to great exploits, but you have to make it through the discernment, yielding, listening and obeying part of the choosing first. Walk with Me. This does not have to be hard, scary or confusing. Just walk with Me. Keep your heart pure and your ears and heart attuned to Me, and this narrow passageway of many choices can be brief, and it can be a cakewalk. Your posture, your mindset will determine how this goes. It can be rife with uncertainty and even the torment of wavering between two decisions, or it can be straightforward, peace-filled and remarkably clear. The key is to tune into My voice and walk in lockstep with Me. This is the time when you will be given many keys. Seek Me in which ones to use, which ones to set aside and which ones to hold onto for later use. Watch for the release of keys into your hand. Watch for beginning of the arrival of opportunity and decisions. I Am with you. There is nothing to fear. Get into excitement. This is the hallway to destiny. If walked correctly with Me, in alignment with Me, this is the transition passageway to destiny.
How to Respond
- Get your expectations up, and pursue greater communion with the Lord.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Search me. Help me to clear out anything in my life or mind that would hinder me from hearing and obeying Your voice or prompting. I want to be rightly positioned and aligned with You, so that as these keys come, as these opportunities and choices come —- I am not in confusion. I want to hear Your voice clearly and be ready to obey quickly and fully without ever looking back.

- Decree, This is the time of the open window of Heaven aligning with the open door of opportunity. I will be in alignment with the Spirit of the Lord, and I will pursue His voice and His guidance before I leap. I will not be in confusion or the torment of indecision. Because of my communion with the Lord, I will walk confidently and joyfully through this passageway of decision and opportunity into new days of destiny.
