Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 54

“Shout for joy, O barren one, you who have borne no child;
Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not travailed;
For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous
Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent;
Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not;
Lengthen your cords
And strengthen your pegs.
3 “For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left.
And your descendants will possess nations
And will resettle the desolate cities.

Isaiah 54:1-3

The Spirit of the Lord says,
My grace is here for grounding. My grace is here with a weighty presence and as a reliable, immovable, solid anchor of hope. I Am your anchor of hope. I Am the immovable one, the unchanging, unshifting one — to whom you can cling when the world totters, sways and shakes. Even as the earth shakes, even as the faulty foundations crumble, I remain steadfast, firm and in the same position. I Am the anchor for the world itself. I Am the fixed point around which all else must move. I Am the giver of life and the source of all living things. The wellspring of life within you comes from My Spirit inside of you. I Am the living water. I Am the fountain, the source and the unending giver of life. Abundant life is real. It’s attainable. Even in a world filled with uncertainty, you can be certain about one thing — Me. You can be certain that I Am here. I Am unchanging. I Am immovable, steady, solid — your rock and firm foundation — in whom there is no shifting way or shadow.

4 “Fear not, for you will not be put to shame;
And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced;
But you will forget the shame of your youth,
And the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.
5 “For your husband is your Maker,
Whose name is the Lord of hosts;
And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel,
Who is called the God of all the earth.
6 “For the Lord has called you,
Like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit,
Even like a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected,”
Says your God.

Isaiah 54:4-6

You can trust that I Am absolutely good, and only good flows from My hand. You can trust that I think only good thoughts toward you and about you and that I have good works that I created in advance for you to do, that I have formed you for a purpose and a plan, that you are the apple of My eye, the one who makes My heart sing. I Am the lover of your soul. Whom or what shall you fear? I Am the one who cares for you as the perfect loving Father. I shelter you in the shadow of My wings, and I cover you with My righteous right hand. Whom or what shall you fear? I Am your tower of refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. I Am your anchor, the steady one, the unshakeable one, the firm foundation and the rock upon which you stand.

10 “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake,
But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you,
And My covenant of peace will not be shaken,”
Says the Lord who has compassion on you.
11
“O afflicted one, storm-tossed, and not comforted,
Behold, I will set your stones in antimony,
And your foundations I will lay in sapphires.
12 “Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies,
And your gates of crystal,
And your entire wall of precious stones.
13 “All your sons will be taught of the Lord;
And the well-being of your sons will be great.
14 “In righteousness you will be established;
You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear;
And from terror, for it will not come near you.
15 “If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me.
Whoever assails you will fall because of you.

Isaiah 54:10-15

I Am here, and I Am for you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that accuses you in judgement you will condemn. This is a message to My saints. This is a message to My seasoned ones, My seasoned warriors. Do not give up. Do not faint. Do not grow weary of doing good. Come to Me, your rock, your fortress, your anchor, your refuge and Your Father. I will keep you. I will strengthen you with My joy. I will empower and embolden you with My holiness and My Word. This is not a time to shrink back and be destroyed. This is a time for refueling, for coming to home base for a boost, for a recharge, for a refill. Come take a moment with Me. Come get reoriented with Me. Come remind yourself of the purpose to which I have called you. I will fill you up, patch up your wounds, heal you, refresh you and send you out back to the battlefield, back to the mission field, back to the field of mission.

17 “No weapon that is formed against you will prosper;
And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.

Isaiah 54:17

Do not be discouraged, and do not give way to the torrent of the enemy. Come to Me, your rock, your anchor and the your very source of life. I will give you rest, refuge and refilling. I will remind you of the purpose I put inside of you. I will equip you for those good works and the battles ahead, and I will send you out fresh with a clear head and sparkling eyes ready to take on the day, come what may.

How to Respond

  • If you are weary, shaken, uncertain, confused or in fear, run to the arms of the Lord. If you have a pulse, run to the Lord. Be refueled, refreshed and reminded of the purpose to which He has called you.
  • Pray, Lord, You are amazing. Thank You for loving me so fully, so completely and for providing for me in every circumstance. Thank You for being unchanging, certain, reliable and absolutely good. Thank You for caring for me and for bringing refreshing and restoration to me. Lord, I’m coming to You for a refueling and refreshing. I’m coming to You to be patched up from the battles that I’ve faced, and I’m coming to You to be reminded, reoriented and refocused on the work and the purpose You have planted in my heart. Renew me Lord and help me as I reset my feet and focus on You, my foundation and the unchanging, always reliable one.
  • Declare, The Lord is holy and blessed be His Name. The Lord is true, trustworthy and unchanging. He is reliable. He is the source of life and every good gift.
  • Decree, I am restored, refreshed and refueled in the Presence of the Lord my God. In Him, I want for nothing. In His Presence, I am gaining fresh perspective, fresh anointing, fresh fuel and fresh fire for the purposes to which He called me. I trust completely in the Lord my God. He is reliable, unchanging, my refuge and strength, the wellspring of living water and the one who restores my soul. I am fully alive in Him.
