Zechariah 8
And if you give yourself to the hungry And satisfy the desire of the afflicted, Then your light will rise in darkness And your gloom will become like midday. And the Lord will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.
Isaiah 58:10-11 NASB1995
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
The tides have changed, and the fish are jumping in the boat. Even as you are casting your net out into the sparkling green-blue waters, the fish will jump in before it hits the water. Millions and millions are teeming, desiring to be brought up in the net, into the boat. This is the time of easy fishing. This is the time of critical fishing. The fish are teeming. The fish are ready to bee received.
Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘It will yet be that peoples will come, even the inhabitants of many cities. The inhabitants of one will go to another, saying, “Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts; I will also go.” So many peoples and mighty nations will come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the Lord.’ Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” ’

This is a most unusual harvest. You will meet people, and they will ask you if you know Jesus, because they desire to be saved. This is a time where those who don’t know Jesus will find believers and cling to them and beg to be told how to receive Jesus and to learn about Him. The hunger of the people for the Truth — the Way, the Truth and the Life, for King Jesus — is overwhelming. It is a gnawing hunger that they have never felt before. This hunger has been there all along, because they have been starving for Him all along. But the numbing agents of the enemy are being removed. The Novocain veil of the enemy is being removed. The sedatives of the enemy are being removed. And the people will realize that they have not seen clearly. They will realize that the truth has been a muffled sound to their ears. The people will realize that their hearts were made dull and the substance of it is stone. But they will hunger deep in their bones, deep in their innermost parts to connect and with and know King Jesus. They long to be released from the torment of their souls, the chasm and great disconnect of their souls. They long to be restored and reconnected to the Divine, to their Creator, to the Maker of Heaven and Earth.
Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.
Isaiah 58:12 NASB1995
You are the repairer of the breach. You are the one who creates a path for these broken, mangled, starving ones to walk upon. Bring them to Me. Show them the way. And then feed My sheep. I’m transforming fish into sheep and sheep into lions. This is a wild time of transformation. The wolves who remain will be obvious. This is a time of rapid transformation. Position yourself for the catch, for the harvest.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You that the great harvest is here. Help me to be exactly where You want me to be doing the work You have instructed me to do. Help me to go about my day aware of the needs of those around me. Help me to create time for Divine interruptions that change the course of people’s lives. Help me to not allow myself to put my to-do list above the people and assignments that You bring into my life in the form of interruptions.
- Declare, the harvest is plentiful by the workers are few, so I pray to the Lord of the Harvest please send our workers into Your harvest fields. – adapted from Matthew 9:37-38
- Decree, I am alive for the greatest harvest this world has ever seen. I will stand my post as a fisher of men, as a reaper of souls. I will not miss this opportunity to bring as many as will come into the Kingdom of God. I will show them the path to Jesus, and I will teach them the ways of Jesus. My King will receive His inheritance and full reward. He will have the nations. He will have His Bride.
