Psalm 62
I stand silently to listen for the one I love, waiting as long as it takes for the Lord to rescue me. For God alone has become my Savior. He alone is my safe place; his wraparound presence always protects me. For he is my champion defender; there’s no risk of failure with God. So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me?
Psalms 62:1-2 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God of All Creation say,
I desire to see trust in the core, innermost part of you. Let your trust of Me, your trust in Me be absolutely rock solid. Let it be the core of your being. Let it be the anchor that steadies you and makes you unable to be tossed by the winds, the waves, the currents or the shaking. I have called you to be an immovable one. I have provided My Name, My hope, My Presence to be the anchor and the rock that lives inside of you, steadying you, keeping you standing, firm and unshaken.
I am standing in absolute stillness, silent before the one I love, waiting as long as it takes for him to rescue me. Only God is my Savior, and he will not fail me. For he alone is my safe place. His wraparound presence always protects me as my champion defender. There’s no risk of failure with God! So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me? God’s glory is all around me! His wraparound presence is all I need, for the Lord is my Savior, my hero, and my life-giving strength. Trust only in God every moment! Tell him all your troubles and pour out your heart-longings to him. Believe me when I tell you—he will help you! Pause in his presence
Psalms 62:5-8 TPT
Shaking is coming. Greater shaking and more volatile days are ahead. But you are not meant to be a shaken one. You are meant to be as at peace as a still lake without one ripple. My perfect peace I have given you. My Spirit surrounds you and lives inside of you. It is your trust, your conviction, your immovable belief in Me — that I Am who I say I Am and I Am doing what I said I would do — it is that trust that holds you firm and does not permit you to be tossed, shaken, blown or jolted by the incoming shockwaves. You will experience shockwaves of war, shockwaves of overturning, shockwaves of resistance and evil and a wild, never seen before overwhelming flood of shockwaves of My Glory. The days ahead will be very unsteady, very fraught, very volatile with much sudden shaking. And the shaking will be of varied and unpredictable durations. But you are to be rock solid in Me. You are to not be shaken, not be moved, not be swayed. You are to be a great reflection of the placid peace that passes all understanding, of the strength and unfathomable power of the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ who strengthens you.
Yahweh, you alone are my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion. You hold my destiny and its timing in your hands. Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following you! The way you counsel me makes me praise you more, for your whispers in the night give me wisdom, showing me what to do next. Because I set you, Yahweh, always close to me, my confidence will never be weakened, for I experience your wraparound presence every moment. My heart and soul explode with joy—full of glory! Even my body will rest confident and secure.
Psalms 16:5-9 TPT
Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Me because he trusts Me. This is the way forward. The way forward is through — through the volatile days of shaking, high winds, rough seas and shockwaves — whose final glorious shaking will be the flooding of My shockwaves of all surpassing Glory. This is the way forward. The way forward is through.
How to Respond
- Bolster your trust in the Lord. Recount His faithfulness as an urgent act of spiritual discipline.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You give the peace that passes all understanding. Thank You that Your residence inside of me makes a way for me to be at perfect peace no matter what shaking and turmoil comes. Help me to be a reflection of Your immovability, Your strength, Your steadiness and Your fearlessness in the days ahead.
- Declare, then I remember that you, O Lord, still sit enthroned as King over all! The fame of your Name will be revealed to every generation. I know you are about to arise and show your tender love to Zion. Now is the time, Lord, for your compassion and mercy to be poured out — the appointed time has come for your prophetic promises to be fulfilled! Psalm 102:12-13
- Decree, I trust in the Name, the goodness, the strength and the faithfulness of the Lord my God. I will not be moved. Though the winds and the storms, the shaking and volatility may come, I will be found standing firm, in perfect peace, because of my Lord, Christ Jesus who gives me strength.
