Today’s Reading:
Psalm 107
Psalm 144

107 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble
3 and gathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south.

Psalm 107:1-3

The Spirit of the Lord says,
I want to be your firm foundation. I want to be the Rock upon which you stand. I want you to depart from and abandon the sinking and the shifting sand. Establish your heart and your will upon Me. Become an unmovable one who is firmly planted, firmly driven, firmly established on the Rock, the Redeemer, Lord Jesus Christ. Make Him your king and live that way. Live as a dependable partner whose life is in service to their most beloved, most trusted King, Jesus. Be one who is firmly established and cannot be moved, cannot be shaken or swayed by the prevailing winds of false doctrine, by the winds of adversity, by the ever-shifting winds of public opinion and conventional wisdom. Be one who is established on the Rock, King Jesus. Be one whose eyes and heart are set firmly on Him.

144 Blessed be the Lord, my rock,
who trains my hands for war,
and my fingers for battle;
2 he is my steadfast love and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield and he in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.

Psalm 144:1-2

Though the tide threatens and the waves crash, remain steadfast. Be unchanging. Be one who is firmly established — not tossing, ever-changing and uncertain. Be one whose life reflects the trustworthiness of the King, Your Lord, Jesus Christ. I Am your Rock and firm foundation. Don’t lose sight of My gaze. Don’t get disconnected from My heart. I have called you to stand, so stand firm. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Be one who is known to be reliable, dependable and true. Be one who displays the reality that WE ARE an unshakable Kingdom. While all else shakes and sways, while all else jostles and rides the shockwaves, We are an unshakable Kingdom. Live as such. Don’t be given to panic or fear. Be as your Captain, your King, your Redeemer and your Rock. Be steady and unshakeable, firmly established, rooted and fixed upon the Lord Your God, Your King and Savior.

43 Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things;
let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord.

Psalm 107:43

When the world seems to spin out of control, be that fixed point for the people in your life. Be the fixed point that reflects My unwavering goodness, My unchanging nature, the steadiness and the stability of your times. When the earth and society quakes, be the one who releases My peace. Be one who releases the calming, steadying, beautiful fragrance of Me. Be one whose blessed assurance draws many in and points them to Me. You are My partner, My co-laborer, My companion and My child. It is your job to reflect the nature of your King, so shine, stand and be firmly planted. Let your heart and your life reflect Me.

How to Respond

  • Sit with the Lord, and ask Him to give you a picture of what being established in Him looks like for you.
  • Pray, Lord, help me to be one upon whom you can rely and the people you have placed in my life can rely. I desire to be one firmly established in You who reflects Your unchanging, unshakeable nature. I want to bear the image of my King, Jesus, and I want to be one who is trustworthy, who releases peace and stability into situations and people. I want to be someone whose steadiness and reliability draws people to You.
  • Declare, Christ is my Rock, my King and my firm foundation. He is the unshakeable One and His Kingdom is the unshakable Kingdom.
  • Decree, I will build my life upon Christ, upon His love, upon His trustworthy and unchanging nature. I will live my life in a way that reflects His love, stability, peace and trustworthiness.
