Isaiah 61
61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
Isaiah 61:1-3
Because the Lord has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;
2 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To grant those who mourn in Zion,
Giving them a garland instead of ashes,
The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
So they will be called oaks of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
The Lord says,
Plant yourself, anchor yourself in Me. Refuse to be moved by what’s going on around you. Refuse fear, anxiety and stress. Instead, stand firm, tall and immovable. Keep your eyes fixed on Me and the horizon, the future. Stay until I tell you to move. Trust in Me to hold you together, to hold all things together and to provide for your every need. Fight to remain in Me. Fight to retain your peace, your joy, your promises. Hold on. I’m here, and I’m coming in greater measure. I’m coming in power, in strength and with undeniable Presence. The force of the arrival of My glory will be felt. It will not be subtle. It will not be mistaken. It will be abrupt and certain. Definitive. And it will bring all to their knees. The Great and Glorious Day of the Lord they will call it.
10 I will rejoice greatly in the Lord,
Isaiah 61:10-11
My soul will exult in my God;
For He has clothed me with garments of salvation,
He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
To spring up before all the nations.
Many will be changed. All will be changed. All who encounter My glory will be changed. Many will switch sides. Though some will choose to stay with evil, they will have to acknowledge defeat in the face of My Presence. This is something to be excited about. This is a reason to dance and be filled with great joy and expectation. Celebrate now as if you have already seen it take place. Stir up your affection for Me, your faith in Me.
9 The Lord has heard my supplication,
Psalm 6:9-10
The Lord receives my prayer.
10 All my enemies will be ashamed and greatly dismayed;
They shall turn back, they will suddenly be ashamed.
I Am coming in like a mighty whirlwind, and the change that takes place in My wake will be astounding. The whirlwind of My arrival, of My change will bring great destruction of evil institutions, hiding places, dens of darkness and financial dealings of wickedness. Likewise, My whirlwind of change will renew, refresh, restore many hearts, lives, families. My whirlwind of change will carry and release the answers to many prayers. It will release blessings like a great torrential spring rain that is badly needed and desired by the farmers. Watch as My grace, My blessing, My favor and My wholesale restoration fall on you, your family, your loved ones, your community.
12 A worthless person, a wicked man,
Proverbs 6:12-15
Is the one who walks with a perverse mouth,
13 Who winks with his eyes, who signals with his feet,
Who points with his fingers;
14 Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil,
Who spreads strife.
15 Therefore his calamity will come suddenly;
Instantly he will be broken and there will be no healing.
Watch as I rip ill begotten gains and power from the hands of those who have sided with darkness and remain unmoved. All that they have of value is wealth and power, and that will be stripped from their hands. They will know and see that I Am indeed the Lord of Hosts, God Almighty, who was, who is and who is to come. They will mock Me no longer.
How to Respond
- Choose joy. Choose hope. Choose to trust in the Lord.
- Celebrate as a beautiful act of worship and in expectation of the Lord’s goodness.
- Declare, the glory of the Lord is coming in greater measure, and it will be undeniable. As He comes, He will restore, refresh, renew and transform many lives by His grace and love. He will pour out blessings and answers to prayer.
- Decree, the enemy will not prevail against the Lord of Hosts. The Lord God Almighty will remove wicked institutions. He will dismantle power structures and strip power and wealth from those who willfully remain on the side of darkness. The Lord will not be mocked.
- Pray, Lord, help me to position myself, to purify myself and to be one who can be useful when Your glory brings all of this astounding change.
