Today’s Reading:
1 Corinthians 1
1 Corinthians 2

For it is written: I will dismantle the wisdom of the wise and I will invalidate the intelligence of the scholars. So where is the wise philosopher who understands? Where is the expert scholar who comprehends? And where is the skilled debater of our time who could win a debate with God? Hasn’t God demonstrated that the wisdom of this world system is utter foolishness?

1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Eternal Living God say,
I’m launching new opportunities. I’m setting something new in motion. While you have been heading steadily in one direction, I will nudge you to the other side of the path. You’re not on the wrong path. You’re not heading in the wrong direction. But I will adjust your vision. I will adjust your steps, and I will bring an opportunity that you may have otherwise passed right by. I will offer an open door that you otherwise would have never seen. And it will bring you to a different part of the path than you have traveled, a different part of the path than you have known.

For the “foolish” things of God have proven to be wiser than human wisdom. And the “feeble” things of God have proven to be far more powerful than any human ability. Brothers and sisters, consider who you were when God called you to salvation. Not many of you were wise scholars by human standards, nor were many of you in positions of power. Not many of you were considered the elite when you answered God’s call. But God chose those whom the world considers foolish to shame those who think they are wise, and God chose the puny and powerless to shame the high and mighty. He chose the lowly, the laughable in the world’s eyes—nobodies—so that he would shame the somebodies. For he chose what is regarded as insignificant in order to supersede what is regarded as prominent, so that there would be no place for prideful boasting in God’s presence. For it is not from man that we draw our life but from God as we are being joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. And now he is our God-given wisdom, our virtue, our holiness, and our redemption. And this fulfills what is written: If anyone boasts, let him only boast in all that the Lord has done!

1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭25‬-‭31‬ ‭TPT‬‬

This is the path of a new opportunity. This is a path that causes you to move more quickly, more efficiently and with less effort. But this path requires greater discipline. It requires truly great discipline of your mind, your mouth, your time and those who you choose to keep around you. It will require discipline in relationships and trimming back the circle even further. You have had to trim the circle in these last few years, and you will find that your inner circle and the even the next few rings of circles of those surrounding you gets smaller. But the ones that are at arms length become greater and greater. You will find that as you trim your inner circle and keep it small and tight, I will explode and expand your outer circles. Your network will grow exponentially. It will amaze you. And it will require discipline and prayer to keep the right people in the right priority distance. This is important for your heart, for your business and for your family. Take these relationships to Me in prayer and adjust accordingly, adjust as needed. Adjust as the the need arises to adjust — not as the person in question’s need arises, but as My voice prioritizes.

For God intended that your faith not be established on man’s wisdom but by trusting in his almighty power.

This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store for all his lovers. But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things.

1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬, ‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

This is a time of walking into the unfamiliar. You will have to get comfortable yet again with being uncomfortable, with not having the answers, with not knowing what’s next. This is the time and the lifestyle for which you were made. Pioneers don’t sit still. Pioneers don’t stay in one camp for too long. You will reach that moment of decision and opportunity again soon. Some of you are there now. It’s time again to follow My voice, My leading, My prompting. Like Abraham and so many since him, I’m calling you to go to a promised land you have only seen in your heart. I’m calling you to walk by faith, not by sight. I’m calling you to pursue that city whose foundations are secure because I Am its architect and builder. It’s time to get moving again.

How to Respond

  • Get ready for change and new opportunity.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit I am here, and I am willing. I will be flexible. And I’m looking forward to the adventure You have already planned for me. Help me to hold on loosely to the way I am doing things now. Help me to look up, to be obedient to Your promptings and Your voice even when they don’t make sense. And help me to go and move when You say so.
  • Declare, I will love the Lord with all of my heart, mind, soul & strength. I will lean not on my own understanding. In all of my ways, I will acknowledge Him, and He will direct my path.
  • Decree, I will move with the impulses of Holy Spirit. I will not get stuck where I am, and I will not hold tightly to the here and now. I will listen for and obey the voice of the Lord. I will prepare as He calls me to prepare and be disciplined in the areas He is calling for greater discipline. I will walk by faith and not by sight, because the Lord is unfailing, and He is guiding me every step of the way.
