Today’s Reading:
Psalm 138
1 I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
Psalm 138:1-3
before the “gods” I will sing your praise.
2 I will bow down toward your holy temple
and will praise your name
for your unfailing love and your faithfulness,
for you have so exalted your solemn decree
that it surpasses your fame.
3 When I called, you answered me;
you greatly emboldened me.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
You will see and taste and experience wellsprings of joy unexpectedly bursting forth — onto your property, your land, into your home, your office. Wellsprings of overwhelming, powerful, uncontainable joy will soon be bursting forth — very soon, momentarily. This will be joy that breaks people from their mundane existence. This will be joy that brings people back to life. It will be like a rollercoaster of joy — filled with unexpected thrills and delights, filled with twists and turns and unforeseen curves.
You have heard of joy unspeakable — joy so great that it leaves people speechless. Well, you have never heard of joy un-singable, because the beautiful heart-felt response to an outpouring of joy is song. Beautiful new songs made from new sounds, new tunes and new beats will be the righteous response to the joy I bring.
4 May all the kings of the earth praise you, Lord,
Psalm 138:4-5
when they hear what you have decreed.
5 May they sing of the ways of the Lord,
for the glory of the Lord is great.
Grace. My grace will pour out like bowls of oil — upon circumstances, upon decisions, upon heavy hearts and upon stagnant dreams. First comes the joy, the wellsprings of joy, then comes the righteous response of worship and new songs, then comes the oil of My grace that causes things to move where they had been stuck, that makes things fluid where they had been difficult, that reduces friction and causes high- speed advancement and change. Soon you will find yourself in a symphony of My wellsprings of joy, the glorious sounds of righteous praise, and the delights of my grace manifesting for movement, advancement and change. At first they will happen in succession, and then they will happen in coordination, in symphonic fluid movements orchestrated by My Hand and responded to by the hearts and mouths of the saints.
6 Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;
Psalm 138:6-8
though lofty, he sees them from afar.
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
you preserve my life.
You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes;
with your right hand you save me.
8 The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands.
It is My glory to astonish you with My goodness. It is My delight to see you overwhelmed with delight. It is My treasure to hear your heartfelt response and your beautiful creations of thanks to Me, and it is My design and My purpose to pour grace out at just the right moment. My grace is a key ingredient to perfect timing. I’m setting it all in motion — joy, worshipful response, grace and forward advancement. Soon the scene and your experience will change greatly. Soon you will find yourself in the center of the symphony of joy, delight, worship, quick advancement and change. Soon you will find yourself in new days.
How to Respond
- Posture yourself in anticipation of seeing the goodness of the Lord so powerfully in your life that it will be experienced as wellsprings of joy.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Bring joy that revives me, refreshes me and brings me back to vibrant life. Cause my heart to beat in sync with Yours. Fill me with joy so unspeakable that the only available response is worship. Pour out Your bowls of grace onto every aspect of my life — bringing me into Your perfect timing for forward motion, right decisions, advancement and change.
- Declare, Holy Spirit is setting up blessings so great and unexpected that they will cause wellsprings of joy to burst forth from the people. They will cause a beautiful unhindered response of new songs and new sounds of worship. The Lord is pouring out bowls of grace that are moving people into His perfect timing for decisions, advancement, connections and change.
- Decree, I submit myself and my life, my family to the Lord. I will be one upon whom the unexpected favor and unmatched goodness of the Lord falls. I will become a living wellspring of joy and an instrument of unfettered worship to the Lord my God. The Lord’s grace will pour out on me, my family and every aspect of our lives — bringing us into His perfect timing for advancement, decisions, connections and change.
