Today’s Reading:
Matthew 25

“When the Son of Man appears in his majestic glory, with all his angels by his side, he will take his seat on his throne of splendor, and all the nations will be gathered together before him. And like a shepherd who separates the sheep from the goats, he will separate all the people. The ‘sheep’ he will put on his right side and the ‘goats’ on his left. Then the King will turn to those on his right and say, ‘You have a special place in my Father’s heart. Come and experience the full inheritance of the kingdom realm that has been destined for you from before the foundation of the world! For when you saw me hungry, you fed me. When you found me thirsty, you gave me drink. When I had no place to stay, you invited me in, and when I was poorly clothed, you covered me. When I was sick, you tenderly cared for me, and when I was in prison you visited me.’

Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭31‬-36‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
Cherish My heart. Cherish that which matters to Me. Cherish that which touches My heart and lives near to My heart. Look after the widows and the orphans. Care for and visit those who are in prison. Reach out and touch those in distress, in despair on the streets. What you do unto the least of these, you have done for Me.

Live in the place of service and sacrificial love. Give, and don’t expect anything in return. For then great will be your reward. Love the unlovely. Show kindness to the outcasts and those who are experiencing hardships of all kinds. Yours is a ministry of service, of outreach, of love.

“Then the godly will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty and give you food and something to drink? When did we see you with no place to stay and invite you in? When did we see you poorly clothed and cover you? When did we see you sick and tenderly care for you, or in prison and visit you?’ “And the King will answer them, ‘Don’t you know? When you cared for one of the least of these, my little ones, my true brothers and sisters, you demonstrated love for me.’

Matthew 25:37-41

Feed My sheep. Care for My little ones. Clothe the naked. Feed the hungry. Give a cup of water to the little one who thirsts, and great is your reward in Heaven. Great will your reward be in Heaven. Great will be your reward in Heaven.

How to Respond

  • Pray, Lord give me eyes to see the world around me the way You see it. Help me to be so near to Your heart, that what touches Your heart also touches mine. Make me sensitive to the plight of those around me and those who You are calling me to serve.
  • Declare, Not even a sparrow’s death goes unnoticed by the Lord and His children are worth much more than a sparrow.
  • Decree, I will live close to the Father’s heart. I will reach out and live a life that ministers to the needs of others. I will meet people in their pain and struggles just as Jesus did. And the Lord promises that my reward will be great in Heaven for ministering to His children who are in need.
