2 Peter 1
Psalm 119:89-112
“This letter is from Simeon Peter, a loving servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to those who have been given a faith as equally precious as ours through the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. May grace and perfect peace cascade over you as you live in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.”
2 Peter 1:1-2 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God says,
Faith is bubbling up like a fountain within you. Faith is bubbling up, and it is overflowing from your heart, from your innermost being. Faith will become how you see. Faith will be your sight. Faith will lead you forward, and it will stir your heart with what is right and what is now. You will know what is for now by faith.
“Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises we can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.”
2 Peter 1:3-4 TPT
Your praise is a weapon, and your faith is your sight. This is the unusual way that we war. Trust in Me to guide you. Trust in Me to fine-tune your discernment. You will need it more than ever. You will hear My voice saying, “this is the way, walk in it.” My Spirit will bear witness inside of you as truth is presented to you. You will feel the feeling of disgust and repulsion as lies are presented.
Don’t fear the dark and turbulent days we are walking into now. I have provided you with everything you need. I have fully equipped you to walk through them in confidence, in courage and in victory. You will see victory after victory in this dark place of uneven terrain. My light will guide you. It is the faith inside of you. It is My Spirit inside of you. It is your trust in Me. And for the sound of truth, for the frequency and sound of truth I have embedded a receptor in your heart. As you align your life ever more perfectly with Me, ever more closely with My Word, so will the truth receptor be fine-tuned in your heart. The sound and the frequency of lies and deceit will become more and more repulsive to you. This is to lead you away from harm. This is like a sounding of an alarm in your spirit that says, “stay away from there!”
“I refuse to turn away from difficult truths, for you yourself have taught me to love your words. How sweet are your living promises to me; sweeter than honey is your revelation-light. For your truth is the source of my understanding, not the falsehoods of those who don’t know you, which I despise. Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your Word makes my pathway clear. To live my life by your righteous rules has been my holy and lifelong commitment.”
Psalms 119:102-106 TPT
I have equipped you with all you need for life and godliness. Don’t fear walking into these murky times of stormy darkness on uneven terrain. The light of your faith in Me, the faith bubbling up in your heart even now will guide you unerringly through this dark time. Your heart will bear witness to the truth. It will be repulsed at the lies. You have nothing to fear. I Am with you, and I have equipped you with everything you need. Walk with bold confidence into these dark days knowing that I Am with you and have many victories hidden in the darkness of these days ahead.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord. Determine to follow His leading with bold confidence and assurance that He has gone before you and He has equipped you with all that you need to succeed.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Help me to stir up the faith in my own heart. Help me to walk by faith and not by sight. Help me to not be moved by what I see or hear in the news and the world around me. Help me to remain focused on the word You have spoken to me, on the scriptures and on the work You have called me to do in the midst of all of this. Thank You for being with me. Thank You for providing for my every need and equipping me with all that is required to see me through this time.
- Declare, great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. He appoints the times and seasons. He raises leaders up and He puts leaders down. The light and the darkness both belong to Him. The Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness therein. He never lies. He never leaves. He never forsakes us. He never fails and He never loses. He is the always victorious God, the God of abundance and always more than enough. In Him there is no shifting shadow. He is always true, always right, always good.
- Decree, I will walk in faith and courage with the Lord my God. He will guide me through the dark and uncertain times that we are facing. He will show me how to war with praise. He has hidden many victories in the darkness, and we will experience them all. I will not forsake the Lord nor the work of my hands. I will be faithful even in the darkness, even in the stormy days and on the uneven terrain. I will experience the Lord’s guiding, provision, equipping and victories. He will be faithful to bring us out through to the other side into His glorious light and glorious days that He has appointed for us. He is taking us from darkness to light.
