“Lord, you are my secure shelter. Don’t ever let me down! Let your justice be my breakthrough. Bend low to my whispered cry and save me from all my enemies! You’re the only place of protection for me. I keep coming back to hide myself in you, for you are like a mountain-cliff fortress where I’m kept safe.”

The Spirit of the Lord says,
My grace is on Greece for recovery, for full restoration and for power. My grace is on Greece to rise again, to shake off the shackles of socialism and rise again as a great shipping power, as a great economic power, as a great country of culture that’s invested in self-interest — the honorable and worthy self-interest of its people, of its land, of its resources.
“Let me escape from these cruel and wicked men, and save me from the hands of the evil one. For you are my only hope, Lord! I’ve hung on to you, trusting in you all my life. It was you who supported me from the day I was born, loving me, helping me through my life’s journey. You’ve made me into a miracle; no wonder I trust you and praise you forever! Many marvel at my success, but I know it is all because of you, my mighty protector! I’m overflowing with your praise for all you’ve done, and your splendor thrills me all day long.”

Greece will shed the ties that are holding her down. Greece will shake loose from the grip of the EU, and she will walk her own self-determined path again. Greece will shake off and shake out. She will loose herself from the EU’s grip and long extended tendrils that have held her down. Greece will be released like a lion that has broken free from her cage. No one will tame her, and no one will touch her. I Am causing Greece to break loose for the sake of the people, for the sake of the nation, for the sake of autonomy, for the sake of answering the cries of My lovers in Greece. Greece will shake loose from the EU most unexpectedly.
“Even though you’ve let us sink down with trials and troubles, I know you will revive us again, lifting us up from the dust of death. Give us even more greatness than before. Turn and comfort us once again. My loving God, the harp in my heart will praise you. Your faithful heart toward us will be the theme of my song. Melodies and music will rise to you, the Holy One of Israel. I will shout and sing your praises for all you are to me— Savior, lover of my soul! I’ll never stop telling others how perfect you are, while all those who seek my harm slink away ashamed and defeated!”

Culture and arts and tourism will be vibrant. The lives of the people will be lived in color again, rather than in this black and white and grayscale existence they have been living under the tight fist of Communism. Greece will rise again. My Greece will rise again. Hellenistic thought will rise again, but it will be filtered through a lens that holds Jesus Christ as King.
Joy Comes in the Morning
“God, our hearts spill over with praise to you! We overflow with thanks, for your name is the “Near One.” All we want to talk about is your wonderful works! And we hear your reply: “When the time is ripe I will arise, and I will judge the world with perfect righteousness. Though I have set the earth firmly on its pillars, I will shake it until it totters, and everyone’s hearts will tremble.” Pause in his presence”

Joy comes in the morning. Joy and hope and faith will blossom like spring flowers in the morning, in the aftermath, in the wake of the shaking. You can have joy in the shaking, because you have My Spirit inside you. You can walk through the shaking with abiding joy in your heart. But for many, for the majority, their experience of joy will be in the morning after the shaking — the shaking that sets the world back on the right course, the right track, the right wavelength. My shaking will do that, and joy will burst forth in full-color bloom in the morning.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord, let it be as You have said. Cause Greece to rise up again and shake off the shackles that have bound her. Cause her to rise up because of the prayers of Your faithful saints, because of Your love for Your people and all of the people of Greece. Make Greece a marvel and an example of Your faithfulness and Your responsiveness to the voice of Your children.
- Declare, the Lord is moving and doing a mighty unexpected work in Greece, and will release her from the shackles that have bound her in slavery to socialism and the EU. The Lord is shaking the world to set things back on the right track, and His joy will be in full bloom in the morning.
- Decree, Greece will rise again, and this time she will rise with Christ as her King. The Lord’s shaking will set the world on the right course and the right track again. Full, unbridled joy will be the response of the people.
