Hebrews 12
Faith motivated Abraham to obey God’s call and leave the familiar to discover the territory he was destined to inherit from God. So he left with only a promise and without even knowing ahead of time where he was going, Abraham stepped out in faith. He lived by faith as an immigrant in his promised land as though it belonged to someone else. He journeyed through the land living in tents with Isaac and Jacob who were persuaded that they were also co-heirs of the same promise. His eyes of faith were set on the city with unshakable foundations, whose architect and builder is God himself.
Hebrews 11:8-10 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God, the All-Creative One say,
Transforming society. Beautiful change is coming. Beautiful change is here. Don’t tiptoe into your destiny. Run with a wide-open run, and burst through into it. Transition is here. Change is here. Don’t hold onto things as they were or even as they are. I’m transforming society, and I’m starting with your heart. I’m starting with your mind. I’m starting with your wallet. I’m starting in your home. Remarkable change is here. It’s time to think up, to love up. It’s time for the mindset of royalty. It’s time for the heart of a king that overflows with love for his family and his kingdom. It’s time to think beyond what you see, beyond what you can understand, control or manage. It’s time for much higher thinking. It’s time to dream again. It’s time to dream the big dreams of a master avant-garde architect whose budget has no limits.
… they saw beyond the horizon the fulfillment of their promises and gladly embraced it from afar. They all lived their lives on earth as those who belonged to another realm. For clearly, those who live this way are longing for the appearing of a heavenly city. And if their hearts were still remembering what they left behind, they would have found an opportunity to go back. But they couldn’t turn back for their hearts were fixed on what was far greater, that is, the heavenly realm! So because of this God is not ashamed in any way to be called their God, for he has prepared a heavenly city for them.
Hebrews 11:13-b16 TPT
I’m transforming society, and I’m starting inside of you. Put on that kingdom mindset. Put on that robe, and carry the scepter of a king. It’s time to rule and reign with Me. It’s time to take your place up higher. It’s time for vision that exceeds the ground warfare and the hand-to-hand combat of your normal day-to-day. It’s time for up-higher living, up-higher thinking and up-higher seeing. I’m calling you to see great distances. I’m calling you to think generationally. You have been mired in the here and now, but this is a season for master planning. This is a season for generational dreaming and for building structures and systems that last, that can scale, that can adjust. I’m adjusting your heart, your mindset and your vision. I need you to dream with Me. I need to you get unstuck from this moment-to-moment survivalist lifestyle and come up here on this perch much, much higher, way up higher with Me. This is the place where dreams can be birthed, far above the noise and the detail and the limitations of down below. Come up here and allow your mind to become a dream factory.
As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!
Hebrews 12:1-2 TPT
Dream with Me and speak life into those dreams. Once you see them, you can create them with your words, with your faith, with your obedience. But it requires taking the time, getting the space, leaving the battlefield for a while to come up higher and dream big with Me. This is the time of generational thinking, generational building that transforms society. And My starting place for all of that is you. Get away and come dream with me.
How to Respond
- Take time away with the Lord to dream big — to dream generationally.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. You have full access with me. Come in and change my mindset, my perspective, my heart. Help me to shift from this place of constant ground warfare to a place of ruling and reigning as a king with You. Help me to welcome the change You are bringing. I am a willing vessel. I want to be the starting place for Your transformation of society. Let it begin with me.
- Declare, the Lord is the master architect and master builder. He is the all-creative one. Through Him all things were made, without Him nothing was made that has been made.
- Decree, I will let go and allow the Lord to reshape my thinking, reshape my heart. I will leave the ground warfare to come up higher and dream with Him. I will dream and birth generational dreams from this up-higher place with Him. The Lord’s transformation of society will start with me.
