Isaiah 51-52
“Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness,
Isaiah 51:1-2
Who seek the Lord:
Look to the rock from which you were hewn
And to the quarry from which you were dug.
2 “Look to Abraham your father
And to Sarah who gave birth to you in pain;
When he was but one I called him,
Then I blessed him and multiplied him.”
The Lord says,
Get your hopes up. Lift your eyes up. Start thinking up. Start thinking and behaving as though things in your life are looking up and are going up. It’s time to make strategic decisions for change — strategic positioning decisions, wise decisions. It’s time to set yourself up for joy, for foundational growth, for building. It’s time to set yourself up so that the footprint of your life and the boundaries of your influence are expanded and poised for yet further expansion.
3 Indeed, the Lord will comfort Zion;
Isaiah 51:3
He will comfort all her waste places.
And her wilderness He will make like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the Lord;
Joy and gladness will be found in her,
Thanksgiving and sound of a melody.
It’s time to leave the cocoon you have been nestled in. It’s time to break out and take flight. It’s time to break out of things that have grown too small for you, that have been stifling your mindset; your imagination; your creativity; your ability to breathe, dance and enjoy. It’s time to break out from those things that once fit nicely but now no longer suit your phase of growth. It’s time to spread your wings. It’s time to look up and to soar. It’s time to rise above your circumstances. It’s time to take authority over your circumstances, and it’s time to act and enjoy. The time of concentrated and protected growth, healing and training is done. It’s time to dream again. It’s time to ask for divine solutions. It’s time to to use your divine imagination to consider solutions and setups that you didn’t know could exist. It’s time for up-higher thinking — the kind you can have when you sit and dwell and daydream with Me.
Not all action for change will look the same. It will look different for different people, because different changes are needed in each one. But I Am the common denominator, and I Am the one who pinpoints the change needed in your heart. It will start stirring like sand in an oyster. It will stir and irritate you and stir until that divine solution, that pearl emerges. Ask for divine connections to bring divine solutions. Ask for eyes to see and ears to hear My voice of instruction and inspiration. Ask Me to help you think bigger, dream bigger, act with more boldness. Leap.
52 Awake, awake,
Isaiah 52:1-2
Clothe yourself in your strength, O Zion;
Clothe yourself in your beautiful garments,
O Jerusalem, the holy city;
For the uncircumcised and the unclean
Will no longer come into you.
2 Shake yourself from the dust, rise up,
O captive Jerusalem;
Loose yourself from the chains around your neck,
O captive daughter of Zion.
These are days of preparing to build, preparing to expand and then acting. These are days of considering and then moving. These are days of running. The tempo will be high. The decisions will be swift. These are days to be firm and focused — not wavering between opinions or options, not wishy washy in your approach. These are days for decisiveness, strength and focus. These are days where you will see quick payoff for great decisions. You will see the reward in them quickly. These are days for My people who are tapped into My voice to position themselves for expansion and then make the move to do it. This is like a a special season of protected expansion, change and multiplication opportunity for My people. It is hidden, and it is My gift, My offer. Those on the outside may think you are crazy, may think you are making wrong moves at the wrong time. But wisdom is knowing My voice. Wisdom is being in the center of My will no matter what the conditions appear on the outside.
How to Respond
- Daydream with the Lord. Ask Him to show you what areas in your life need growth or change.
- Pray, Lord, show Me a fresh vision for where You want my life to go. Give me fresh vision for what would make my heart sing, what would bring you delight, what would bring blessing to those you have called me to serve. Where is it I need to make a change? Make decisions? Make moves? Thank You for inviting me into a private time of expansion and change with You — one that may seem out of step with the economy, the world around us and personal circumstances. Thank You for pre-positioning me for the days ahead.
- Declare, the Lord is the God of the impossible. He is the God of dreams coming true and promises being fulfilled.
- Decree,
I will step out in faith where the Lord calls me to make a move, decision or change.
I will trust the Lord to come through for me — even where it seems impossible.
I will dream with the Lord about divine solutions. I will ask Him for divine connections. And I will expectantly watch for Him to bring both.
