Today’s Reading:
Deuteronomy 1
Psalm 149
2 Chronicles 20
Isaiah 49
Turn and set your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites, and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country and in the lowland and in the Negev and by the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates. See, I have placed the land before you; go in and possess the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to them and their descendants after them.
Deuteronomy 1:7-8 NASB1995
I heard the Spirit of the Living God of Truth say,
I’m drawing you into the highlands. I’m drawing you into the intimidating hill country that has been long possessed by the enemy. I’m drawing you out far from your base camp. I’m drawing you out for a fight. I’m drawing you out for battle. This far, distant hill country is a great distance away from the place you have been set up. From where you are positioned it looks lush, green and intimidating. You know that is the territory the enemy has taken and for which he has long staked his claim. But I Am calling you to challenge that. I Am calling you to disrupt that. And I Am calling you to remove his flag of claim and fly the banner of freedom in its place for all to see.
The Levites, from the sons of the Kohathites and of the sons of the Korahites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel, with a very loud voice. They rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Listen to me, O Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, put your trust in the Lord your God and you will be established. Put your trust in His prophets and succeed.” When he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in holy attire, as they went out before the army and said, “Give thanks to the Lord, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.” When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were routed. For the sons of Ammon and Moab rose up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir destroying them completely; and when they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. When Judah came to the lookout of the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude, and behold, they were corpses lying on the ground, and no one had escaped.
2 Chronicles 20:19-24 NASB1995
This is territorial anointing. I Am calling you into battle for territory, and you have been given a territorial anointing. Don’t allow it to waste and dry up over there in the camp in which you have grown accustomed to the comforts, to the landscape, where even the discomforts have grown familiar. No I’m calling you to rise up in this hour as one with a territorial anointing. I Am calling you to move forward a great, vast distance. It seems like it will take days and even weeks to just traverse the ground that separates you from the highlands and hill country to which I Am calling you. But as you rise, as you go, you will see I swiftly and miraculously get you to the to the place of great demonic strongholds, the place where darkness has dominion and has overtaken the land.
Break forth with dancing! Make music and sing God’s praises with the rhythm of drums! For he enjoys his faithful lovers. He adorns the humble with his beauty, and he loves to give them victory. His godly lovers triumph in the glory of God, and their joyful praises will rise even while others sleep.
Psalms 149:3-5 TPT
You are the ones to disrupt this dark shadow, this dark cloud over the highlands, over the hill country. You do it with testifying of My goodness around the clock. You do it with worship, with warfare worship and pure rejoicing, with dancing and raucous praise. This is the way that the shadow breaks. This is the way that the dark cloud gets displaced. This is what will loose the grip of darkness over the highlands and the hill country that I have called you to take. You are anointed and commissioned to restore the desolate heritages, to build up the waste places and to prepare the way of the Lord. Do it with a tribal drumbeat that intimidates hell. Do it with fearlessness and power, with authority that has not been seen in these parts before. Do it with the fierceness of lions reclaiming their land. This drumbeat is what will rattle, break up, shift and terrify the enemy. This drumbeat will crack and cause great fissures in the dominion of evil. And light will break through with the testifying — around the clock testifying, singing worship, dance, violent dance of warfare worship, praise that has not been heard before. Praise that comes from mourning. Praise that comes from being fed up with the dominion of the enemy. Praise that demands change and rips it straight from the boughs of Heaven. This is a dominion warfare. This is a territory warfare. This is about rulership.
God’s high and holy praises fill their mouths, for their shouted praises are their weapons of war! These warring weapons will bring vengeance on the nations and every resistant power— to bind kings with chains and rulers with iron shackles. Praise-filled warriors will enforce the judgment decreed against their enemies. This is the honor he gives to all his godly lovers. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
Psalms 149:6-9 TPT
I have given you a rulership and a territorial anointing; and the time is now to strike, strike, strike, strike, strike, strike, strike seven times. Strike and keep striking the fallow ground until the whole earth shakes. Keep striking with your praises, striking with your dancing, striking with your warfare drumbeat, striking with your righteous anger in worship and in praise. Put demands on heaven that will not be denied. Pull on the promises of Heaven. They will not be denied. This is not a gentle worship. This is warfare. This is battle. This is terrorizing the enemy with terrifying praise, with demanding worship, with outrageous roaring and testimony that cannot be refuted or denied. This is warring with the ferocity of a tiger. The unity will be one that comes together as the ferocity of a giant tiger that growls and roars in the face of the enemy at such a level that he cuts completely and runs.
Thus says the Lord, “In a favorable time I have answered You, And in a day of salvation I have helped You; And I will keep You and give You for a covenant of the people, To restore the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages; Saying to those who are bound, ‘Go forth,’ To those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ Along the roads they will feed, And their pasture will be on all bare heights. They will not hunger or thirst, Nor will the scorching heat or sun strike them down; For He who has compassion on them will lead them And will guide them to springs of water. I will make all My mountains a road, And My highways will be raised up. Behold, these will come from afar; And lo, these will come from the north and from the west, And these from the land of Sinim.” Shout for joy, O heavens! And rejoice, O earth! Break forth into joyful shouting, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people And will have compassion on His afflicted.”
Isaiah 49:8-13 NASB1995
You will feel the break. You will experience the break. You will know that the warfare for that place has ended when a great light and silence descends, when a great resistance is gone and all around you is light and peace and the remnants and evidence of war. Then it will come — the joy, the delight, the grace for rebuilding, for innovating, for a new kind of praise. The warring will last for a time, and it will seem very intense very pressurized, and the resistance will be great. But you will break through, and no one will be wondering whether the war is still ongoing. They will know that the warring time has ceased and a new kind of praise is called for, one of victory, delight and great ease. And they will say, “the Lord has given us victory and great grace days for building have come.”
How to Respond
- Ask the Lord to instruct you regarding your place in the battle. Ask for the strength and courage to move into the highlands and hill country and begin to war alongside your brothers and sisters.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You for this territorial anointing, for this rulership anointing and for the strategy on how to break and overcome the dominion of the enemy in the land that You have called us to possess. Lord, give us strength. Give us wisdom. Give us endurance to war until the breakthrough comes. All of the glory belongs to You.
- Declare, for Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, until her righteousness goes forth like a brightness, and her salvation like a torch that is burning. The nations will see our righteousness, and all kings our glory; and we will be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord will designate. (Isaiah 62:1-2)
- Decree, I will rise up and run into the war as the Lord instructs. He has anointed and commissioned me for this war with a territorial anointing and a rulership anointing. I will join in unity with my brothers and sisters. I will testify of the goodness and faithfulness of the Lord around the clock. I will dance in wartime dances and sing warring songs of worship and praise that terrify the enemy. I will beat the drum with a beat that disrupts and cracks up the dominion of evil in the land. We will war. We will make demands of Heaven that will not be denied, and the Lord will bring the breakthrough. We will give all glory to the Lord as we shift from warring to a new kind of worship under the Lord’s new grace to build.
