Deuteronomy 10-12
12 “Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require from you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and to keep the Lord’s commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?
Deuteronomy 10:12-13
The Lord says,
Resurrection, triumphing over the schemes and the powers of the enemy, is what We [Father, Son & Holy Spirit] do. It’s not all that We do, but We do it with flair. We do it with unexpected and shocking rebellion against darkness. I Am the manifestation of rebellion against darkness, wickedness and evil. It’s not that evil existed first. It’s that I Am so absolutely good, so absolutely pure, so absolutely true that in contrast to wickedness, I Am the starkest rebellion against it. All that is good, lovely, worthy, and pure is a rebellion against darkness, wickedness and evil. Godly living is open rebellion against darkness. Holiness and sanctification are rebellion against darkness. Repentance and forgiveness of others is rebellion against darkness. So you see how right will triumph over darkness? How good and truth win? The light of this open rebellion against the ruler of this world is here.
22 For if you are careful to keep all this commandment which I am commanding you to do, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and hold fast to Him, 23 then the Lord will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than you. 24 Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours; your border will be from the wilderness to Lebanon, and from the river, the river Euphrates, as far as the western sea. 25 No man will be able to stand before you; the Lord your God will lay the dread of you and the fear of you on all the land on which you set foot, as He has spoken to you.
Deuteronomy 11:22-25
This is a season of open rebellion against darkness, and it is driving the enemy and those with him to shriek and rant and go further in exposing themselves in very public ways than they ever have before. You can sense the the spiritual war going on around you. It has heightened, and it has intensified. Live your life in open rebellion to the tyranny of darkness. Lead with love. Do not be moved and do not go on the defensive when their evil schemes come against you and your family. I have positioned you, and your obedience and righteousness have positioned you, to live in a state of continual offense — of advancing and conquering the enemy’s plans — just by living well; just by leading yourself and your family in My ways, under the guidance of My voice with truth as a pillar of your home.
8 “You shall therefore keep every commandment which I am commanding you today, so that you may be strong and go in and possess the land into which you are about to cross to possess it; 9 so that you may prolong your days on the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give to them and to their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey. 10 For the land, into which you are entering to possess it, is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, where you used to sow your seed and water it with your foot like a vegetable garden. 11 But the land into which you are about to cross to possess it, a land of hills and valleys, drinks water from the rain of heaven, 12 a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning even to the end of the year.
Deuteronomy 11:8-12
This is a season where the enemy stirs up chaos and disorder in an attempt to throw you off of your game, to get your eyes off of your what I have called you to and onto the swirl and the battle around you. Stand firm. Keep your eyes on Me. Gather your family in close and keep high the protective guardrails around them. Live a lifestyle of offensive living — by speaking the truth, by living boldly and unapologetically according to My Word, by rejecting the conventional wisdom of the day, by rejecting the expected order of raising a modern family without succumbing to the demands of technology and media. Set firm boundaries, and refuse to be moved.
2 You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess serve their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. 3 You shall tear down their altars and smash their sacred pillars and burn their Asherim with fire, and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods and obliterate their name from that place. 4 You shall not act like this toward the Lord your God. 5 But you shall seek the Lord at the place which the Lord your God will choose from all your tribes, to establish His name there for His dwelling, and there you shall come.
Deuteronomy 12:2-5
It is not enough to beat back the enemy when he appears to cross your threshold. No, you must chase him down on his territory and defeat him with an embarrassing defeat in the public square. You must conquer him on the land he has already claimed, so that he cannot come near to yours. For the sake of your family, home, community and nation, it’s time to take the fight to every piece of territory the enemy has claimed, and defeat him there. Defeat him with a decisive and humiliating victory. Take back the places that he has stolen. Reclaim them for the people, and dedicate them to Me. Consecrate this territory that you wrestle back from the enemy. This is a season of offense, of conquering and of decisive victories that leave the enemy destroyed and his remains on display in humiliation, defeat and shame. This is what it means to live in open rebellion against darkness.
How to Respond
- Walk justly before the Lord your God.
- Live a life of purity and radical obedience to the Lord.
- Set firm boundaries around your household that do not allow the enemy to gain entrance through technology, social media or any platform or evil ideology.
- Pray, Lord, show me my place in the battle and how to be on the offense for my family, community and nation. Show me where my place in the fight is, and what it means to not only defend what is mine but to take back what the enemy has stolen.
- Declare, the Lord reigns in victory. The enemy is being defeated and will continue to suffer many humiliating defeats in the public square. These are the days of the Lord’s people rising up and taking back all that the enemy has stolen.
- Decree,
America will be resurrected.
America will be saved.
The enemy will be defeated and humiliated many many times in this season.
Righteous zeal and godly living will conquer the works of the enemy.
The enemy will be defeated on all of the territory he has stolen.
The enemy’s defeats will be embarrassing, shameful and public.
The works of the enemy and the names of those with the enemy will become a byword and a caution for many generations.
Those on the side of the Lord will wrestle back ALL of the territory that the enemy has stolen, and we will consecrate it to the Lord.
