Today’s Readings:
Isaiah 12
Psalm 107
Hosea 2

8 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
9 For he satisfies the longing soul,
and the hungry soul he fills with good things.

Psalm 107:8-9

The Lord says,
Imagine having peace like a river. Imagine the majesty of a mountain, the winding of a hilltop road. Dwell on the simple pleasures, simple wonders, simple miracles of life. All of creation worships. All of creation sings My praise. It’s time for the people to join their chorus. It’s time for the people to wake up to My Amazing Grace.

107 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble
3 and gathered in from the lands,
from the east and from the west,
from the north and from the south.

Psalm 107:1-3

The people have been so busy looking downward, at their phones; looking inward, at their own thoughts, feelings, desires and problems; looking outward at the chaos, the news, the lies, the unrest and the dis-ease. It’s time to look up. It’s time to look to the rock from which you were hewn. It’s time to find your identity in Me, your place in Me, your name in Me, your purpose in Me, your fulfillment in Me. It’s time to find your rescue and your refuge in Me. And all else will fade away. The problems, the strife, the chaos may still be there. But they will fade in importance; they will pale in comparison to My Glory.

3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. 4 And you will say in that day:
“Give thanks to the Lord,
call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,
proclaim that his name is exalted.
5
“Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth.

Isaiah 12:3-5

It’s time for a change of perspective. It’s time for a change of understanding. It’s time for a change of attitude. It’s time for a change of heart. It’s time to find joy in Me, to take pleasure in and delight in Me and My creation. It’s time to stop living these imaginary lives through tv, social media and games. It’s time to start truly living, experiencing and doing. It’s time to be present and accountable — for the way you spend your time, the way you speak and the way you spend your money. Discipline leads to freedom. Lack of discipline leads to unending confinement — not enough time, not enough friends, not enough money. Discipline leads to freedom.

21 “And in that day I will answer, declares the Lord,
I will answer the heavens,
and they shall answer the earth,
22 and the earth shall answer the grain, the wine, and the oil,
and they shall answer Jezreel,
23 and I will sow her for myself in the land.
And I will have mercy on No Mercy,
and I will say to Not My People, ‘You are my people’;
and he shall say, ‘You are my God.’”

Hosea 2:21-23

Look to Me. Ask for a change in perspective. Ask for a shift in focus. Ask for a strategy for discipline. Ask to be filled with joy overflowing. You have not because you ask not. Ask and it shall be given, a good measure, shaken together, pressed down and pouring over. I will give it, because I love you. I will give it because I take great pleasure in giving wildly great gifts. Look to Me. See Me first. Seek My Kingdom, My Ways and My Heart. And all of these things will be added unto you. Watch as countless treasures flood your heart.

How to Respond

  • Choose to get out of your routine and shake things up.
  • Ask the Lord for a change of perspective.
  • Ask Him what parts of your life could use more discipline.
  • Ask Him to help you take joy in simple pleasures and to be present.
  • Declare, the Lord rewards those who diligently seek Him.
  • Decree, the Lord loves to give good gifts to his children. And this is a season of fulfillment of promises and answered prayer. The Lord is reversing the enemy’s tactics of theft, destuction and delay.
