Today’s Readings:
2 Corinthians 3-4
Ezekiel 39

25 “Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will now restore the fortunes of Jacob and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. 26 They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no one to make them afraid. 27 When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will be proved holy through them in the sight of many nations. 28 Then they will know that I am the Lord their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind. 29 I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the people of Israel, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

Ezekiel 39:25-29

The Lord says,
I Am pouring out My love in a fresh way. It is being felt, and it is being received. The acknowledgement and the receipt of My love is expanding. It is spreading, and it is traversing the earth. It’s My love, My kindness that leads people to repentance. It’s My love that opens people’s eyes and hearts to seeing Me, to knowing Me, to desiring Me and then to desiring Me in greater measure. It is My love that causes them to reach out for Me, to seek Me, to pursue Me and to find Me.

15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil lies over their heart; 16 but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit

2 Corinthians 3:15-18

My love is reaching out, pouring out and touching many; and as they acknowledge My love and receive it, that is when their eyes can be opened. That is when the veil can be removed. That is when they can see Me with an unveiled face and be changed forever. I Am making the first move. I always do. I Am pouring out My love generously, lavishly into the lives, hearts and laps of many. Though chaos and destruction, perversion and violence are all around, My love is greater, and My love overcomes. My love cuts through all of the enemy’s tactics, and My love conquers all. My love wins.

6 For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:6

My love in these days is like Aesop’s fable, The North Wind and the Sun, where the Sun challenges the North Wind to a test to see who can remove the coat of the passing Traveler. Like the North Wind, the enemy is blowing and stirring up destruction, mayhem and disappointment. Reacting like the Traveler, the people turn inward, and hold on tightly to what they have, what they know, what is familiar and that which provides a shield from the elements of the world. But as with the story, My love is like the shining of the Sun, which shines brightly, brings glorious warmth and radiates so that the Traveler willingly removes his coat. Just like this, My love is causing many to look up, to receive My love and to remove their shield of protection in favor of being healed and overcome by My love. This is how the prodigals will come home. This is how the wanderers will get back onto the narrow path. This is how the many will have a true revelation of Me and then see themselves reflected in My eyes of love.

How to Respond

  • Worship the Lord. Thank Him for His goodness, His kindness, His faithfulness and love.
  • Pray, Lord thank You for pouring out Your love in a fresh and lavish way. I pray that every member of My family would acknowledge Your love and receive it for themselves. Thank You for Your loving pursuit of us. Thank You for not giving up on any of us.
  • Declare, the Lord is love, and He is generously pouring out His love on all the people of the earth. He is beckoning the wanderers, the prodigals and the orphans come home to Him, to His love, to truth and to new life in Jesus.
  • Decree, I welcome a fresh outpouring of the Lord’s love. I welcome and cheer for the return of the prodigals, wanderers and lost ones, the defiant and the broken ones. I will celebrate and rejoice in the victory of the Lord over the enemy with the return of MANY, MANY, MANY of His children.
