Today’s Reading:
James 2
Matthew 11
Psalm 27
So we must both speak and act in every respect like those who are destined to be tried by the perfect law of liberty, and remember that judgment is merciless for the one who judges others without mercy. So by showing mercy, you take dominion over judgment!
James (Jacob) 2:12-13 TPT
The Spirit of the Living God says,
The mercy chain links hearts together. The mercy chain begins with the acceptance and recognition of My mercy in your life. A true recognition of the mercy you have received is what plows the ground in your heart and enables you to freely extend mercy to another. It enables you to override hurt, pain and offense and extend sweet, beautiful, priceless mercy.
Here’s the one thing I crave from Yahweh, the one thing I seek above all else: I want to live with him every moment in his house, beholding the marvelous beauty of Yahweh, filled with awe, delighting in his glory and grace. I want to contemplate in his temple.
Psalms 27:4 TPT
Bask in the light of My Presence and glory. Just come and be. Sit and rest here right at My feet. This is the place of communion. This is the place of impartation. This is where the gift of understanding is given and received. Wisdom can be found here at My feet. Anointing and new strength, great joy and pleasures forevermore are found all right here in My glorious, sweet, peace-filled Presence. Come, draw near to Me. Come here, right here to the place My glory dwells. You will be restored. You will be reenergized. You will be renewed, refreshed, and your love will be made new.
Then Jesus exclaimed, “Father, thank you, for you are Lord, the Supreme Ruler over heaven and earth! And you have hidden the great revelation of your authority from those who are proud and think they are wise and unveiled it instead to little children. Yes, Father, you’ve chosen this gracious plan to extend your kingdom. You have entrusted me with all that you are and all that you have. No one fully and intimately knows the Son except the Father. And no one fully and intimately knows the Father except the Son. But the Son is able to unveil the Father to anyone he chooses. “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.”
Matthew 11:25-30 TPT
Come to Me all who are weary, and I will give you rest. Come and let Me restore to you the joy of your salvation. Come and let Me infuse you with overwhelming love. Let Me cover you here with My difference making, advantageous grace. Come look at My face and be reminded of the great mercy you have received from My nail scarred hands. Come draw near to Me and dwell right here in the Presence of My glory. You never have to leave.
How to Respond
- Spend time in the Presence of the Lord. Worship Him, and commune with Him.
- Pray, Holy Spirit I am drawing near to You. Draw near to me as You have promised. Come and cause Your Presence to surround me and overwhelm me. I need a fresh touch from You. I need a fresh recognition of Your love, Your mercy, Your grace. I need the wisdom, understanding and anointing that You alone impart. Thank You Lord.
- Declare, in Your Presence Lord is the only place I long to be.
- Decree, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I am empowered by His love and grace. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. I will extend mercy and forgiveness to those who hurt and offend me, because I have generously received mercy and forgiveness from My Savior and King, Jesus.
