Psalm 84
10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand outside.
Psalm 84:10-12
I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
The Lord gives grace and glory;
No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
12 O Lord of hosts,
How blessed is the man who trusts in You!
The Lord says,
These are days of romance with Me and promises fulfilled. These are days where My lovers draw in closer and desire to spend time in My courts. They desire to spend time in My Presence, at My feet. They desire to come up higher and see from My perspective. They desire to be where I Am and engage in endless conversation with Me. These lovers of Mine have great curiosity because of their love and the life that they draw from Me. They desire to know many things about Me, My ways, My character, My plans. They desire to understand secrets and plumb the depths of My spiritual and cosmic mysteries.
4 “He has brought me to his banquet hall,
Song of Solomon 2:4-6
And his banner over me is love.
5 “Sustain me with raisin cakes,
Refresh me with apples,
Because I am lovesick.
6 “Let his left hand be under my head
And his right hand embrace me.”
These are the marks of My lovers: insatiable desire for Presence and growing in the knowledge and communion of Me. It is this kind of delighting love, of love without agenda that stirs My heart with joy and causes My favor and extravagant love to pour forth. See, the cycle of love stirs up love. This is the virtuous cycle of love. It never has to dry or slow or dull. My love for you is always alive, active and pursuing you. Keep your love for Me boiling hot. This is the secret of seek ye first, the Kingdom of God and all of these things shall be added unto you.
14 “O my dove, in the clefts of the rock,
Song of Solomon 2:14
In the secret place of the steep pathway,
Let me see your form,
Let me hear your voice;
For your voice is sweet,
And your form is lovely.”
This season, promises fulfilled are going to flow and overflow from the secret place. They will flow and overflow from the love and joy our relationship stirs up. The enemy has done much to keep My promises and gifts out of reach. I have also held some back for timing, for enhancement, for maturity and to bring a compound blessing. But this is the season of promises fulfilled pouring out like a rushing river after a torrential downpour.
84 How lovely are Your dwelling places,
Psalm 84:1-2
O Lord of hosts!
2 My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
These are days of My glory being made manifest on the Earth and being made manifest in you and on you. You will be seen and known as carriers of My glory. Because of the time you have spent with Me, My glory will mark you in a very noticeable way. These are days of joy being made full — yours and Mine. My joy will be made full in the secret place of communion with you, in the Great Harvest that is coming in, in the lives that are being transformed, in the hearts that are diligently seeking Me, in the once blind eyes that are now opened and the once deaf ears that can now hear. These are indeed Glory Days, and our joy will be full.
How to Respond
- Trust that the Lord is doing what He said He would do.
- Seek the Lord diligently, and clear out any habits, thoughts, ideas, behaviors and external influences that are hindering your relationship with the Lord. Give Him first place. Give Him the place of honor.
- Declare, the Lord is love and He loves Me fully and deeply. He is pursuing Me, and I will return the pursuit. I will stir up my desire for the Lord and for the knowledge of Him.
- Pray, Lord, help me to position myself in Your Presence. Help me to be one who honors you and carries and reflects Your glory. Show me my place in the Great Harvest. What would you have me to do?
