Today’s Readings:
Psalm 75
Isaiah 41
Isaiah 55
Isaiah 61
4 “I said to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’
Psalm 75:4-7
And to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up the horn;
5 Do not lift up your horn on high,
Do not speak with insolent pride.’”
6 For not from the east, nor from the west,
Nor from the desert comes exaltation;
7 But God is the Judge;
He puts down one and exalts another.
The Lord says,
Wealth transfer, responsibility transfer, unexpected changes, opportunities and promotions. I raise some up and I put others down. I exalt some, and I remove others from the scene. This is a time of great rearrangements. This is a time of responsibilities and roles being taken out of the hands of some and being thrust into the hands of others — of those who have proven themselves worthy, capable, honorable and righteous. I Am stripping many titles, many decorations, many honors and many platforms out of the hands of those who have misused them, abused them, mismanaged them or have been weak or lazy in them. I call My people to be productive. I call them to be fruitful and multiply. I call them to manage themselves, their gifts, their responsibilities and their finances well — with diligence and wisdom. I call no one to rest on their laurels. This is a time of overnight promotions, of extreme changes in position, extreme transfers between hands. I Am changing the cast of characters.
5 “Behold, you will call a nation you do not know,
Isaiah 55:5
And a nation which knows you not will run to you,
Because of the Lord your God, even the Holy One of Israel;
For He has glorified you.”
I Am changing who holds the weight of responsibility. I Am changing who reigns on the mountains, and I Am changing who shepherds My people. My shepherds must be ones whose lips have been purified with the white stone that comes from My Presence. They must be ones who have stripped themselves bare of any false motives, any desire for power, control, pride and self exaltation. These shepherds who remain and those who I will raise up are purified. They carry the spirit of John the Baptist and care not what people think of them or their presentation. Their heart is for the people, for speaking the truth and for seeing lives changed. Period. These are the ones who have been a voice crying out in the wilderness. They will be fearless, and they will be gentle with the broken hearted, the seeking and the not comforted ones. They carry My heart and My fire. They carry My Spirit and My power.
17 “The afflicted and needy are seeking water, but there is none,
Isaiah 41:17-20
And their tongue is parched with thirst;
I, the Lord, will answer them Myself,
As the God of Israel I will not forsake them.
18 “I will open rivers on the bare heights
And springs in the midst of the valleys;
I will make the wilderness a pool of water
And the dry land fountains of water.
19 “I will put the cedar in the wilderness,
The acacia and the myrtle and the olive tree;
I will place the juniper in the desert
Together with the box tree and the cypress,
20 That they may see and recognize,
And consider and gain insight as well,
That the hand of the Lord has done this,
And the Holy One of Israel has created it.
These ones I Am not bringing out of the wilderness, I Am causing MANY to be drawn to them in the wilderness, and they will populate the wilderness place, and like in Isaiah, I will bless it. I will water it. I will cause new life and growth in it, and I WILL transform the wilderness before their very eyes. I will transform the wilderness into a place of a running streams and luscious plant life. I will cause the desert to become a beautiful transformed place, and it will have been established by the hands of My faithful wilderness preachers, by My faithful ministers, by the ones crying out and speaking truth — the full unadulterated Gospel of My Kingdom. I Am drawing many in droves to these desert places, to these wilderness preachers of the truth, and they will be set free. They will become pioneers and settlers of the desert. They will build cities and dwellings and under My faithful care, provision, blessing, grace and wisdom. They will build glorious cities in the desert place.
4 Then they will rebuild the ancient ruins,
Isaiah 61:4-8
They will raise up the former devastations;
And they will repair the ruined cities,
The desolations of many generations.
5 Strangers will stand and pasture your flocks,
And foreigners will be your farmers and your vinedressers.
6 But you will be called the priests of the Lord;
You will be spoken of as ministers of our God.
You will eat the wealth of nations,
And in their riches you will boast.
7 Instead of your shame you will have a double portion,
And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion.
Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land,
Everlasting joy will be theirs.
8 For I, the Lord, love justice,
I hate robbery in the burnt offering;
And I will faithfully give them their recompense
And make an everlasting covenant with them.
Yet others I have called to be in the existing city centers, in the business places, in the established places. These are where the handovers, transfers, promotions, demotions and removals will be taking place — in the established places. I Am raising up purity and power. I Am exalting My Spirit, and My Name will be heralded throughout the earth. Angels are releasing new assignments, and they are wrestling away assignments from those who have not been faithful on the job. Batons and balls are transferring hands. This is a busy, busy, busy time of changing hands, changing roles and the promotion of the faithful ones.
Stay agile and be ready to catch, grasp, hold and carry what I Am sending your way. It will surprise you. Even if prayed for it, even if you have desired it, even if you envisioned it, even if you have worked specifically for it; it will surprise you. Yet for many, what they will find themselves holding, carrying and possessing they never saw coming.
How to Respond
- Worship the Lord in truth.
- Declare, the Lord is faithful, righteous and true. He lifts some up and moves others down. He removes responsibilities and leaders and gives them into the hands of faithful and trustworthy ones.
- Decree, I will be diligent and faithful in the work the Lord has put in my hands to do. I will remain agile, open and expectant for the swift and unexpected changes He is bringing.
- Pray, Lord show me how to position myself, to purify myself to be part of this great time of exchange, of new roles, responsibilities, opportunities, promotion and change. Help me to be among those found faithful and capable to take on the new purposes You have released to Your people.
