Today’s Reading:
Exodus 20
Psalm 24
Psalm 51

Then God spoke all these words, saying, “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before Me. “You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.”

Exodus‬ ‭20‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

The Spirit of the Living Holy God says,
Purify yourself. This is a time of deeper sanctification. This is a time of a greater, deeper purification. I Am going after every false god in your life. I Am going after anything and everything that would stand in the way of Me in your heart. I’m calling you to lay it aside. I’m calling you to lay it all aside. And pick up your cross daily, and follow me.

Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom. Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

This is not just a purification ritual. This is a cleansing that is required to come up higher. This is a cleansing that is required in order to ascend to the next level, to the higher place that I have reserved for you, that I have prepared for you, that I have specially created just for you. But you must meet the entrance requirements. You cannot go there as you are or as you were. This place is an antechamber of blessing where My grace is here for you to shed every lie, every false narrative, everything and anything that has power over your mind, your heart, your will or your life. This is the shedding place that is the antechamber to ascension.

Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the Lord And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face—even Jacob. Selah.

Psalms‬ ‭24‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

This does not have to be a painful or long, hand-wringing or tear-shedding process. I simply need your yes, your open hands and your willingness to release every entanglement, every substance, everything object that exalts itself above me. Release it all here. Leave it all here. And walk with me in freedom up the stairs to the higher place I have prepared. The only way up is surrender.

How to Respond

  • Pray, Holy Spirit come and shine Your light on everything in my life that stands between me and You, everything that has a higher place than You, everything that gets in the way of me being the reflection of Jesus You have called me to be. Purify my heart Lord. Give me the grace to surrender it all to You.
  • Declare, But I will give my thanks to you, Yahweh, for you make everything right in the end. I will sing my highest praise to the God of the Highest Place! – Psalms‬ ‭7‬:‭17‬ ‭
  • Decree, I exalt the Lord above all in my life. As I surrender to this purification, nothing will have a place that even compares to the place of King Jesus in my heart, my routine or in my mind. I am shedding and surrendering every single thing that approaches having the place of King Jesus in my life, so I can ascend to the higher place that the Lord has prepared for me.
