So I said, “Where are you going?” And he said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see how wide it is and how long it is.” And behold, the angel who was speaking with me was going out, and another angel was coming out to meet him, and said to him, “Run, speak to that young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls because of the multitude of men and cattle within it. For I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ”

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
These are days of thunder — of rapid expansion and growth that astonish and even startle some. And just as thunder always precedes lighting, so will My lightning come after. The thundering that brings expansion will set you up extremely well for the time of My explosive power to be seen in the Earth. My explosive power will come suddenly, forcefully and decisively. It will bring judgement and cleansing, but it will also bring the glorified reality of Heaven to Earth. It will bring with it the power that changes lives at the cellular level. It will bring with it a stunning and instantaneous release of power that changes things, that irreversibly changes things.
Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the top stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ” Also the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven will be glad when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel—these are the eyes of the Lord which range to and fro throughout the earth.”

Harken and hear. These are My days of thunder. These are the days that My thunder creates the atmospheric conditions for growth, expansion and conductivity. You will see great productive growth in this period, this time in which my thundering charges the atmosphere and creates unique and very particular conditions to accelerate and multiply. For those who are in agreement with it, cooperating with it, they will see bountiful, seemingly limitless exponential expansion and growth. And this growth will be a reserve, a bounty and a protection in the days to come. They will be a deep resource that will serve My Kingdom in the lighting days that follow.
Return to the stronghold, O prisoners who have the hope; This very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you. For I will bend Judah as My bow, I will fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece; And I will make you like a warrior’s sword. Then the Lord will appear over them, And His arrow will go forth like lightning; And the Lord God will blow the trumpet, And will march in the storm winds of the south. The Lord of hosts will defend them. And they will devour and trample on the sling stones; And they will drink and be boisterous as with wine; And they will be filled like a sacrificial basin, Drenched like the corners of the altar. And the Lord their God will save them in that day As the flock of His people; For they are as the stones of a crown, Sparkling in His land. For what comeliness and beauty will be theirs! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

Glory and judgement, power and might along with great change will mark My days of lighting. Use the days of thunder well. Build and grow while the conditions are right. I Am setting you up to be well-positioned, well-resourced, and well-equipped to serve and to invest into — to pour generously into the days of My lighting glory and judgement that are coming to change the face of the Earth. Heed My voice and work My plan. You will see growth and astonishing expansion in these days of My thunder.
A note on the imagery of thunder and lightning -
Thunder denotes the voice of God. And we know that the voice of the Lord creates, since He spoke all of creation into existence. We also know that His Word does not return void. It accomplishes that for which it was sent and prospers every where He sends it. (Genesis 1; Isaiah 55:11)
Lightning is a symbol of God’s Presence, power, His glory and His judgement. (Psalm 144:6; Jeremiah 51:16; Revelation 4:5)
How to Respond
- Be sure you are aligned with the plan and instruction of the Lord.
- Pray, thank You Lord that You are thundering and creating the special conditions for growth and expansion in this time. Help me to be busy about Your work, following Your instructions, so that I can experience the growth and expansion that You have intended. Help me to be a wise builder, so I can pour into and invest strategically and generously in the coming days of Your glory and judgement.
- Declare, Now I’ll listen carefully for your voice and wait to hear whatever you say. Let me hear your promise of peace— the message every one of your godly lovers longs to hear. Don’t let us in our ignorance turn back from following you. For I know your power and presence shines on all your devoted lovers. Your glory always hovers over all who bow low before you. Your mercy and your truth have married each other. Your righteousness and peace have kissed. Flowers of your faithfulness are blooming on the earth. Righteousness shines down from the sky. Yes, the Lord keeps raining down blessing after blessing, and prosperity will drench the land with a bountiful harvest. For deliverance goes before him, preparing a path for his steps. — Psalms 85:8-13 TPT
- Decree, I will be busy doing the work the Lord has called and instructed me to do. I will not be moved from this work, especially in this new moment where the Lord has charged the atmosphere for great growth and expansion. I will be one who grows and expands in these days of thunder, so I am well-positioned and well-resourced to be a blessing, a partner, a wise investor and a generous giver in the coming days where God’s glory and judgement will be seen and experienced in the Earth.
