Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 59-60
19 So they will fear the name of the Lord from the west
Isaiah 59:19-21
And His glory from the rising of the sun,
For He will come like a rushing stream
Which the wind of the Lord drives.
20 “A Redeemer will come to Zion,
And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares the Lord.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
Glory will strike the hearts of men. Glory will stop people in their tracks. My Glory will astound, amaze and take people’s breath away. The awe and wonder when My glory strikes will stop people right in their tracks. They will drop to their knees in awe. My glory will be a long sought after outpouring. It will be the moment for which we’ve all been waiting. Truth chasers will know and understand what the moment is and what the moment means when My glory pours out lavishly from Heaven to Earth. They will know. They will understand. The overwhelming of minds, of hearts of bodies by My glorious glory, by My outrageous outpouring will be weighty, impactful and personally transformative. It will transform the one as it transforms the many.
60 “Arise, shine; for your light has come,
Isaiah 60:1-2
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
My glory will transform and reveal the sons and daughters of the Most High God. My glory will reflect the intimacy of our relationship. The impact of the arrival of My glory will come in like a powerful refreshing, breathtaking summer breeze for those who know Me, who live heart-to-heart and face-to-face with Me. It will stun and amaze them and be most welcome. It will cover them, and they will be moved in worship and in celebration. They will know the significance of the moment. The will understand what it means. For those who don’t know Me, when the outpouring of My glory astounds and catches and arrests them with power, the experience will be similar but different, because of the work I do in their hearts and minds. The glory unfurls lies. The glory pushes out false doctrines and demonic agendas. The glory brings a mighty cleansing and a bright, bright disinfecting pure light.
19 “No longer will you have the sun for light by day,
Isaiah 60:19-21
Nor for brightness will the moon give you light;
But you will have the Lord for an everlasting light,
And your God for your glory.
20 “Your sun will no longer set,
Nor will your moon wane;
For you will have the Lord for an everlasting light,
And the days of your mourning will be over.
21 “Then all your people will be righteous;
They will possess the land forever,
The branch of My planting,
The work of My hands,
That I may be glorified.
The glory will touch everyone in its path. The glory will astound, arrest and purify everyone. The glory will transform everyone. My glory itself will reap a mighty harvest. This is the first of many. Watch for My days of awe.
[Note: I don’t know if the Lord was speaking of these as the days of awe mentioned here, but the on the Jewish calendar, the Days of Awe are a ten day period from Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year to Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. This year the Days of Awe are September 15 – September 25.]
How to Respond
- Keep your heart and life pure before the Lord. And live in hope and expectancy for the arrival of the glory of the Lord.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Come in glory and in power. Come and transform my life and the hearts and lives of the many Lord. I long to see my family and my community, my state and my nation transformed by Your power, Your presence, Your glory. Nothing compares to You Lord. We need a powerful, inexplicable encounter to set hearts back to right, back to original intent and original design, back to You.
- Declare, the Lord will overwhelm, transform and impact many lives with an outpouring of His glory. All who are touched by the glory of the Lord will be changed and marked forever.
- Decree, I will see the impact of the glory of the Lord. I will celebrate the changes and transformations birthed by the arresting glory of the Lord. I will know and understand the significance of what is happening when the glory of the Lord appears — when I experience it and when I hear reports of it.
