Fix your heart on the promises of God, and you will dwell in the land, feasting on his faithfulness.
4 Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh,
and he will give you what you desire the most.
5 Give God the right to direct your life,
and as you trust him along the way,
you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly!
Trust & Obey
The Lord says,
Do you remember that old hymn? It goes, “trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.” In the Western way of thinking, in the modern mindset, that sounds like a real chore. It sounds arcane. But it is true. When you have a healthy and accurate view of Jesus — of His character and His heart — trusting and obeying does not seem like a drag. It seems like the obvious choice and the one that is filled with life. Trusting the One who gave everything for you because of His deep, unending love for you – that’s a no brainer. Obeying His commands, His voice, His promptings, His ways is the easiest thing in the world when you genuinely believe and know without a doubt that He is for you and He is directing you for your benefit, for life and for prosperity.
It’s time to change your mind. It’s time to change your thinking about who the person of Jesus is and what He means to your life, your purpose and your future. He is not just a good teacher or a mythical mystical guru. Nor is He a hard nosed religious rule maker and enforcer. He is the very Son of God who came to take away the sins of the world, who came to restore you and restore right relationship for you with the Father. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the only One who can resolve the issues in your heart. He is the only One who can restore connection with God and who He made you to be in the purest form of yourself. Only Jesus. Get a right view of Jesus, and your whole life will change.
Peace in a Time of Trouble
The Lord says,
My peace I give you. My peace I leave you. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world. My peace and My promise for the future, for life-giving assignment and purpose — all of these I have made available. All of these are here in the midst of troubles, in the midst of turbulent waters, in the midst of the storm. Just reach out and grab them. Ask Me for My peace. It is available. Pursue Me, and I will reveal your purpose. It’s hidden in your heart. It may surprise you, but it will also bring you great delight and a light a fire in your soul that you didn’t know was possible.
Seek Jesus. Seek the truth about Jesus. Seek My face. Ask for My peace.
Spiritual Giants
The Lord says,
I Am restoring joy and causing hope and vision to arise in the people. The enemy has exerted pressure, sent oppression and has built lies on top of lies on top of deception that have made it difficult for the people to see what is right. Even in the midst of all that, I Am causing hope and fresh vision to arise. And what is on the inside will become more real than what is on the outside. The inner life, the spiritual life in Me is becoming more real than the physical life, the news, the lies, the strife, the very real tragedy and destruction and chaos. Even still, life in Me is gaining in power and strength, and it is becoming more real than the world around you.
Just as a baby chick grows and expands inside the shell, so will this inner life grow and expand until it breaks out and begins to impact the external world. Many little chicks in Me, many spiritual chicks are breaking out of their internal life and exploding onto the scene filled with power from On High, filled with vision and hope — bringing their internal spiritual life of prosperity, joy, trust, hope and life into the world around them. They are impacting the world around them, changing it, and electrifying the atmosphere. They are changing the reality of the world with the power of the Spirit that lives within them. They wield much more power than appears possible. They are spiritual giants – rocking the reality of the world.
Celebrate. Cheer them on. Be among them. Let your life in Me become more real than the external realities that face you, and you will be greatly filled, empowered and emboldened by the Holy Spirit living within you. You will emerge as a giant.
How to Respond
- Examine your views of Jesus. Ask the Lord what lies you are believing about Him and ask Him to change your thinking, your beliefs, your understanding of Jesus – of Who He is, why He came, and Who He wants to be for you.
- Ask the Lord for His perfect peace to fill you.
- Ask the Lord to help you focus your attentions on your internal spiritual life in Him.
- Declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
- Declare that the Lord is releasing many spiritual giants into the world to conquer the works of the enemy.
- Ask the Lord for eyes to see how He sees you and how the spiritual world sees you. You have more power and much greater significance than you know!
- Declare that we are overcoming the works of the enemy by the power of the Holy Spirit living within us.
