Song of Songs 2
Psalm 139
“Jerusalem maidens, in this twilight darkness I know I am so unworthy—so in need.
Yet you are so lovely!
I feel as dark and dry as the desert tents of the wandering nomads.
Yet you are so lovely— like the fine linen tapestry hanging in the Holy Place. Please don’t stare in scorn because of my dark and sinful ways. My angry brothers quarreled with me and appointed me guardian of their ministry vineyards, yet I’ve not tended my vineyard within. Won’t you tell me, lover of my soul, where do you feed your flock? Where do you lead your beloved ones to rest in the heat of the day? Why should I be like a veiled woman as I wander among the flocks of your shepherds?”
Song of Songs 1:5-7 TPT
The Spirit of the Lord says,
My glory can hover in darkness. My glory hovers over the deep and even the dark deep. I Am the Lord God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth. I go where I please, and darkness does not scare Me. Nothing scares Me. I made darkness, and I made light. What happens in darkness does not scare me either. Dark deeds hurt Me. They break My heart, but I Am not afraid of them. I can hover over the deep and the darkness. My light can break through the darkness and shine into even the deep darkness. My light is coming to rescue those who are even in deep, deep, extraordinarily deep darkness. I won’t leave them out. I won’t shun them or leave them behind.
“Listen, my radiant one— if you ever lose sight of me, just follow in my footsteps where I lead my lovers. Come with your burdens and cares. Come to the place near the sanctuary of my shepherds. My dearest one, let me tell you how I see you— you are so thrilling to me. To gaze upon you is like looking at one of Pharaoh’s finest horses — a strong, regal steed pulling his royal chariot. Your tender cheeks are beautiful — your earrings and gem-laden necklaces set them ablaze. We will enhance your beauty, with golden ornaments studded with silver.”
Song of Songs 1:8-11 TPT
My glory and My light is coming to draw them out of the deep to the surface — to healing, to restoration, to change. I Am not afraid or intimidated by the depths of darkness in which they have been living, hiding and doing dark deeds. I Am still the Maker of all. I did indeed knit them, each one. I knit each one together in their mother’s womb. I know them intimately. Before a word is on their tongue, I know what it will be. Their dark markings, their tattoos, their piercings and their dark makeup do not affect Me. I don’t back up when I see these dark markings, wild piercings and crazy hair. I can see right through it. I see My little one, the one I made, My beautiful child hiding behind it all. I can see their fear, their trauma, their agreement with lies and false doctrines of demons. I can see it all. It does not intimidate Me, nor does it cause Me to to back up or be moved from My stance as loving Father, Creator of all. I’m here with My arms wide open.
“Listen! I hear my lover’s voice. I know it’s him coming to me— leaping with joy over mountains, skipping in love over the hills that separate us, to come to me. Let me describe him: he is graceful as a gazelle, swift as a wild stag. Now he comes closer, even to the places where I hide. He gazes into my soul, peering through the portal as he blossoms within my heart. The one I love calls to me:
Song of Songs 2:8-10a TPT
I’m here hovering over even their deep darkness, even over their dark deeds. I Am here. I Am near and not far. All they need to do is to look up and reach out a hand. They will find that I Am already here with My arm outstretched toward them. I was here before they recognized a need for Me. I was here before they could see any light. I was here in the deepest darkness of their darkest moments, darkest failures, darkest decisions, darkest trauma. I was right here, reaching out a hand, hovering and singing to My beloved ones, calling them to come home.
“Arise, my dearest. Hurry, my darling. Come away with me! I have come as you have asked to draw you to my heart and lead you out. For now is the time, my beautiful one. The season has changed, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and the season of hiding is over and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth. Can you not discern this new day of destiny breaking forth around you? The early signs of my purposes and plans are bursting forth. The budding vines of new life are now blooming everywhere. The fragrance of their flowers whispers, “There is change in the air.” Arise, my love, my beautiful companion, and run with me to the higher place. For now is the time to arise and come away with me.”
Song of Songs 2:10-13 TPT
These are days when My glory and My light are breaking through the deepest darkness. This is a time where those in darkness see the light, see the light of My glory and respond. They come up for air. They come up for a touch from Heaven. They come up for rescue, redemption, salvation and change. They come up for a Savior, a Father, a Redeemer and a Friend. They are coming to the surface. They are breaching the darkness in response to My light. I’m here for wholeness. I’m here for restoration. I’m here for reunification. I’m here to get My babies back.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for Your Father’s heart. Thank You for never rejecting us or leaving us to fend for ourselves. Thank You for reaching out to the ones in deep darkness. I pray that { enter the names of your loved ones in darkness } would see and respond to the light of Your glory. Reach our loved ones Lord. Reach those who hate us and call themselves our enemies. Bring them up for air and to see Your glorious light. I pray that they respond to Your invitation Lord. My desire is with Yours — that not even one would remain in darkness.
- Declare, the Lord is reaching out and inviting those who have been living and wandering and even choosing darkness. He is calling them into the light of His glory, into rescue, redemption, salvation, restoration and family.
- Decree, {enter names} will respond to the invitation of the Lord and will be rescued from the darkness that has lured them away; that has provided cover for pain, trauma, rejection and sin; that has lied to them; that has bound them; that has brought unhealthy associations and that has brought great division in relationships. The wanderers, the atheists, those living in confused and toxic lifestyles, even those who call themselves enemies of God will be drawn to the light of His glory and will respond. Very unlikely ones will be saved. Ones who seemed hopelessly lost and even adversarial toward Christ and Christians will be rescued and redeemed by Jesus our Savior and King.
