Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 41
Psalm 21
8 “But you, Israel, My servant,
Isaiah 41:8-10 NASB 1995
Jacob whom I have chosen,
Descendant of Abraham My friend,
9 You whom I have [c]taken from the ends of the earth,
And called from its remotest parts
And said to you, ‘You are My servant,
I have chosen you and not rejected you.
10 ‘Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
The Spirit of the Living God says,
I Am leading the enemy down many fruitless rabbit trails. I have given My servants — My lovers, My anointed ones, My warriors, My saints — to these I have given a clear picture, a clear, well-lit path that leads directly to the place I have prepared in advance and designated for them to go. But to the enemy, I will lead them down many, many wandering, winding, unsuccessful rabbit trails that lead to confusion, frustration and take them only further from the place they set their hearts to go.
They will not find a straight path to victory. They will not find a straight path to leadership, to the crown. They will not find a straight path to the heart of this nation. No, they will be taken down many fruitless, winding, dead-end roads only to be embarrassed and have the rug pulled out from beneath them. I have set up many false trails for them to pursue. And as they take each one, they will find a new defeat, a new embarrassment a new dead-end, perhaps a new trap with no way out.
11 “Behold, all those who are angered at you will be shamed and dishonored;
Isaiah 41:11-13 NASB 1995
Those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish.
12 “You will seek those who quarrel with you, but will not find them,
Those who war with you will be as nothing and non-existent.
13 “For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand,
The map has been set. The board has been set. And My people, My servants, My lovers, My warriors — as they pick up the work of their hands, as they go about their Father’s business, they will find success along the way. They will remain on the path I have set for them if they stay close to My voice and My heart. If they align their lives with My Word — it is faultless — so too will their way be if they are aligned to it.
11 Though they [h]intended evil against You

And devised a plot,
They will not succeed.
12 For You will make them turn their back;
You will [i]aim with Your bowstrings at their faces.
13 Be exalted, O Lord, in Your strength;
We will sing and praise Your power.
The enemy this year will live in frustration and chaos. They may make loud announcements. They may make wicked plans and broadcast hatred. They may devise schemes to injure, harm, defame and tear down my people. But they can have no victory. They can have no success. They are all being sent on winding, wandering paths which only end in embarrassment, defeat, self-exposure and self-entrapment. The walls are closing in on the wicked. Though they may get louder, though their plans look darker, they will not succeed. Their every plan, every trick, every device will end in defeat. Will I not do it for My people? I Am the God of every victory, the all-victorious God. The enemy shall not tread on Me.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord with all of your mind, heart, soul and strength. He will direct your path.
- Pray, Lord, thank You that You have set the map and the board for 2024. Thank You that You are the One who moves men’s hearts and for those who love You, You show us how to live and where to go. Thank You that You have plans to thwart, reveal and trap those with the enemy by exposing, embarassing and trapping them in their own plans and deeds.
- Declare, if God is for us, who can be against us. Our God is greater, our God is stronger, our God is higher than any other.
- Decree, I will align my life to the Word of God. I will stay close to His voice and His heart. I will stay on the path that He has prepared and illuminated for me. I will watch and see as the wicked are drawn off- course to many dead-ends, embarrassments and self-made traps. The Lord will have every single victory in 2024.
