Today’s Reading:
Jeremiah 30
Jeremiah 31
For I, Yahweh, say to you who were once called ‘Outcast,’ I will heal your wounds. And to you who were once called ‘Forgotten Zion,’ I will restore your health.
Jeremiah 30:17 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God of all compassion and grace say,
I’m performing operations in the desert. I’m transplanting hearts and reviving, renewing and restoring hurting and broken hearts in the desert. Hearts that have been locked far away, I Am reviving and bringing back into proper alignment. These operations I’m performing in the desert will restore full joy, will reawaken eyes to sparkle with hope.
Yahweh says: “My people who survived the slaughter and the sword found grace in their difficult wilderness. I am bringing Israel to her rest.” Yahweh appeared to me from another realm and said, “I have deeply loved you with a forever-love; that is why I have been so patient and kind to draw you to my heart. You are precious to me, and I will build you up again. Yes, Israel, you will be rebuilt! Once more, you will be decked out in your best attire, take up your tambourines, and go out dancing with great joy. Once more you will plant vineyards on the mountains of Samaria, and those who plant them will enjoy the fruit.
Jeremiah 31:2-5 TPT
What felt like a death sentence, what felt like a life sentence of dryness, barrenness and exile for hearts will be found to have been a temporary condition, will be found to be a reversed condition. And where dryness, barrenness, desolation and brokenness were the reality, I will restore youthful jubilation. I will restore full heath and energetic life. I will inject hope, vision and possibility back into the veins of those who had lived on the outskirts of love, of those who had suffered rejection, abuse and betrayal, of those who had run out to the desert like Hagar to escape the painful reality in which they lived.
They will come, singing for joy on the heights of Zion, and the goodness of Yahweh will make them radiant. Yahweh will bless them with grain, new wine, olive oil, flocks, and herds. They will be prosperous and grow like a well-watered garden, with no reason to be discouraged. The young girls, the young men, and the elderly will dance and celebrate together. I will turn their sad memories into gladness. I will give them joy after all their trouble and will be their comfort.” Yahweh says, “I will refresh the desire of my priests with abundance and lavish gifts on my people until they are more than satisfied.” For I will refresh the weary soul and satisfy all those who have given up on life.”
Jeremiah 31:12-14, 25 TPT
This is a time of moving from desolation to restoration. This is a time of new life and life more abundant. Where brokenness, hurt and isolation reigned, I will bring a transformation of perspective, and I will make all things new inside of you. The children of the desolate one will outnumber those of the one who is married.
This is a time of breakthrough, change and victory for lonely hearts, for shattered hearts, for broken hearts, for bruised hearts — even for fossilized hearts, even for petrified hearts. I will breathe My Ruach breath of life on them, and these barren, dry and fractured hearts will be like young calves skipping from the stall. It will be like a resurrection has taken place. It will be like vibrant, buzzing, chirping, fragrant, fully alive spring has burst forth from the barren winter. And you will say, “it is truly well with my soul. My soul can be at peace and rejoices in abundance, because My Redeemer restored me once again.”
How to Respond
- Give the Lord permission to restore your heart.
- Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You see the broken, barren, dry and desolate hearts among us. Thank You that You are performing surgeries that don’t just patch us up, but they make us better than brand new. Restore my heart. Restore my vision. Renew my hope, and inject new life into me once again.
- Declare, the Lord satisfies the weary ones and refreshes everyone who languishes – Jeremiah 31:24
- Declare, Shout for joy, O barren one, you who have borne no child; Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not travailed; For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the Lord. – Isaiah 54:1
- Decree, I will submit to the Lord’s operation on my heart. I will live in restoration, and the days of desolation will become a faint memory. My life will vibrate with the fullness of a new testimony of the goodness of the Lord. I will live in full hope, fresh vision and the abundant life of the Lord my God. He has been so good to me.
