Today’s Reading:
Psalm 24
Luke 10

Desperate: (1) very serious or bad; (2) very great, extreme

The desperation the Lord is speaking about in this word is an extreme holy dissatisfaction with anything else but the Lord and His will being done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Who, then, is allowed to ascend the mountain of Yahweh? And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place? Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure. They will receive Yahweh’s blessing and righteousness given by the Savior-God. They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob. Pause in his presence

Psalms‬ ‭24‬:‭3‬-‭6‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God of All Truth say,
I Am coming for My laid out ones — for those who have laid out their lives and are seeking my heart, My face, My voice with great desperation. I’m coming to meet the need. I’m coming to answer the prayer. I’m coming to encounter their heart and meet face to face with their yearning. It’s not their desperation that has drawn Me. It’s their expectation. It’s their faith. It’s their unshakeable confidence that I will show up. I will move, because they need me to move, because they invited Me to move, because they created a wide open space with no limitations in which for Me to move.

So wake up, you living gateways! Lift up your heads, you doorways of eternity! Welcome the King of Glory, for he is about to come through you. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” Yahweh, armed and ready for battle, Yahweh, invincible in every way! So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice! Fling wide, you eternal doors! Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in. You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?” He is Yahweh, armed and ready for battle, the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts! Yes, he is the King of Glory! Pause in his presence.

Psalms‬ ‭24‬:‭7‬-‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

This is not a cry from the pit. This is not a cry from the miry clay. This is a cry by My holy ones, by the generation who diligently seeks Me. This is a cry from the ones with clean hands and a pure heart who have not lifted their soul to idols or vanity. This is a movement of humility, of expectation, of holiness with the ferocity of a bulldozing, charging lion. Their cries will not be stopped, will not be shut up, will not be bottled. Their cries of desperation from hearts filled with expectation are piercing the resistance of the enemy, are pulling their answers forward into the now. They are rising up in authority and wrestling back the times from the hand of the enemy. They are saying, “these are our times, not your times. The Lord has dominion, and we rule and reign with Him. These are our times, and we are taking them back and securing them in His hands.” The times are changing at your words, at your demands, at your warring and at your command.

Jesus replied, “While you were ministering, I watched Satan topple until he fell suddenly from heaven like lightning to the ground. Now you understand that I have imparted to you my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will harm you as you walk in this authority.

Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭TPT‬‬

In the spirit you have been wrestling to take back all that the enemy has stolen, and this is the time when you are beginning to see what he has stolen return to your hands, return to your home, return to your heart. Your warring will restore, your faith will restore all that the enemy has stolen with very very high interest. Your joy will be made full. Your joy will be overflowing. I’m answering your cries in the secret place. I’m responding to your faith and desperation. Yours is not a desperation of hopelessness, of desolation. It is a desperation that cries out, “My God will come through.” It is one of pure faith.

How to Respond

  • Be encouraged. Your prayers and your warring in the spirit in faith are piercing the resistance of the enemy and returning what is rightfully yours to your hands along with a payment of very high interest.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit thank You that You see me, You hear me and You are responding to my desperate cries for help, for Presence, for intervention. Thank You that You have invited me to war and to win alongside of You. Thank You that You have given me the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will by any means hurt me. Thank You that the tide has turned and our prayers and decrees have pierced the resistance of the enemy. Thank You for restoring to me all the enemy has stolen and more.
  • Declare, I am seated with the Lord in heavenly places. I wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places.
  • Decree, I am one whose life is laid out face down before the Lord in desperate faith seeking to hear His voice, to know His heart and to see His face. I am one who is warring with declarations and decrees of the scriptures and the prophecies and promises the Lord has given me. I will not back down. I am already seeing the breakthrough, and I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
