Luke 4
Isaiah 61
“Then Jesus, armed with the Holy Spirit’s power, returned to Galilee, and his fame spread throughout the region. He taught in the synagogues and they glorified him. When he came to Nazareth, where he had grown up, he went into the synagogue, as he always did on the Sabbath. When Jesus came to the front to read the Scriptures, he was handed the scroll of the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and found where it is written, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, healing for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’ I have come to share the message of Jubilee, for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun.””

The Spirit of the Lord says,
I Am sending out My glory. My glory goes out before Me, and it surrounds Me. I’m sending forth My glory for a work. This work is to capture the hearts and attentions, the affections and the musings of many. My glory is going forth. I Am sending it on the breeze and on the winds. I Am sending it to get into the lungs and consciousness of the people, many people. As My glory enters their being, their consciousness, they become awestruck, lovestruck, enraptured lovers of Mine. As My glory fills them and surrounds them, it’s as if all the cares and priorities and concerns in the world fade to nothing; and they are there in awe, in dazed wonder and full of love for Me. This how I Am changing hearts. This is how I Am transforming minds. This is how peace will spread. This is how My love, My glorious move will continue.
7 Instead of your shame you will have a double portion,
Isaiah 61:7-8
And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion.
Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land,
Everlasting joy will be theirs.
8 For I, the Lord, love justice,
I hate robbery in the burnt offering;
And I will faithfully give them their recompense
And make an everlasting covenant with them.
My glory is being breathed on unexpecting individuals. My glory is blowing in strongly to honest and hungry, praise-filled gatherings. My glory is blowing in and entering where it is welcome and where it is unexpected. My glory is blowing in on the broken, the angry — even the angry mobs. You will see angry mobs disperse in an instant. When things could have gotten out of control, when things were about to escalate to violence, you will see My glory sweep through and breathe on the radicals. They will leave in peace and in dazed wonder, and they will search for more of Me in churches and with trusted bearers of My image. I Am doing a new thing. I Am doing a never before seen thing.
9 Then their offspring will be known among the nations,
Isaiah 61:9-11
And their descendants in the midst of the peoples.
All who see them will recognize them
Because they are the offspring whom the Lord has blessed.
10 I will rejoice greatly in the Lord,
My soul will exult in my God;
For He has clothed me with garments of salvation,
He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth its sprouts,
And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise
To spring up before all the nations.
I Am doing something very disorienting. I Am doing something that is not centralized but instead is very decentralized, very dispersed. My glory will come in pockets and to large gatherings. It is coming, and the evidence of it is awe, wonder, repentance, lovestruck reverent worship, holiness and peace. You’ve never seen anything like it. The world has never seen anything like it.
How to Respond
- Worship the Lord in reverence, awe and hunger. Stir up hunger for Him in your spirit.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. Breathe Your glory on us. Change us, change those around us. Change those suffering from identity crises. Change the hearts of people across our nation and the world. Breathe on us and give us a right view of You and a revelation of who You made us to be in You.
- Declare, the Lord is releasing His glory to bring change, to capture hearts and transform minds. He is sending His glory to release a weighty peace in the atmosphere and to change the course of history.
- Decree, my nation will be saved. My nation is loved and blessed by the Lord. The people of this country will turn back to the Lord as He breathes His glory on them, and they see who He really is. As they see who He really is, they will also begin to see who they really are. The fatherless and the orphans will find a place, a home, a refuge and a Father. The broken will find themselves in the arms of the Great Physician. The hungry and thirsty will find the wellspring of Living Water. My nation will be saved.
