Today’s Reading:
Isaiah 40
Isaiah 43
Hebrews 6

Stop dwelling on the past. Don’t even remember these former things. I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert.

Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭TPT‬‬

I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
I Am turning the page from the from the old way to the new way. The old way is fading away, and a new way is blossoming forth. It’s time to hold lightly to ways of operating, to ways of thinking, to ways of planning. They have served you well, but don’t cling to them as the only way. Trust Me to bring forth a new way.

Don’t you know? Haven’t you been listening? Yahweh is the one and only everlasting God, the Creator of all you can see and imagine! He never gets weary or worn out. His intelligence is unlimited; he is never puzzled over what to do! He empowers the feeble and infuses the powerless with increasing strength. Even young people faint and get exhausted; athletic ones may stumble and fall. But those who entwine their hearts with Yahweh will experience divine strength. They will rise up on soaring wings and fly like eagles, run their races without growing weary, and walk through life without giving up.

Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭28‬-‭31‬ ‭TPT‬‬

When doing the work you’ve been doing doesn’t seem to work as well as it once did, release your tight grip of control. Permit Me to blow in a new way. Permit Me the space to breathe, to refresh your weary imagination and to plant new strategy in your mind, to bring new tactics to your approach. The way you’ve done things now feels stale, now seems outdated and gummed up as a process. It’s because I’m turning the page. It’s because I’m taking you into a fresh new time that calls for a fresh new way. Things will operate differently here. It’s time to be flexible. It’s time to be open. It’s time to let go of your well-honed ways of operating, so you can move and work well on this new page.

[…] we long to see you passionately advance until the end and you find your hope fulfilled. So don’t allow your hearts to grow dull or lose your enthusiasm, but follow the example of those who fully received what God has promised because of their strong faith and patient endurance.

Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬11-‭12‬ ‭TPT‬‬

This isn’t a criticism of the work you have been doing or the work you have done. This is a shift in times. This is a shift in seasons, and it just requires a new way. Just as you change from sandals to sneakers to boots along with the seasons, so must you adjust your operating style and mode as My seasons shift. Be flexible. Be open. Don’t cling to the past or the former ways. They were training ground for where you are going. Allow the past to teach without being the only way forward. Let joy, wonder and anticipation bubble up in your heart, because it’s time for something new. It’s time for a new way. It’s time for new work. I Am turning the page.

How to Respond

  • Release your ways of operating to the Lord. Allow Him to guide you into new ways of seeing, planning and operating.
  • Pray, Holy Spirit help me to move with You. Help me to let go of the processes and ways of operating that I have grown comfortable using. I want to be open and flexible to move in new ways, to accept new assignments, to learn and to change.
  • Declare, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He never leaves, lies, fails or forgets me. His ways are higher than my ways and His thoughts are higher than my thoughts.
  • Decree, the Lord holds the times and seasons, and I will change with Him as He directs. I won’t cling to the former ways of thinking, planning or operating. I will move with the impulses of the Spirit. I will learn new things and take new risks in obedience and faith, because My God never fails.
