Psalm 37

37 Do not fret because of evildoers,
Be not envious toward wrongdoers.
2 For they will wither quickly like the grass
And fade like the green herb.
3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
4 Delight yourself in the Lord;
And He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:1-4

The Lord says,
Submit your worries and your cares to Me. Release your tight grip on them, on control, on stability and instead cling to Me. Hold on to Me, to truth, to My Word, My promises, My grace and the vision for the future I have planted in your heart. Hold onto these. Live in the present, in the moment and capture the beautiful moments of purity, of laughter, of joy that are here. Don’t maintain that stony face. When relief comes, laugh. Seize enjoyment, determine to celebrate the victories that come, no matter how small. This is wartime living. This is what it means to be a light in darkness. This is righteous rebellion — open rebellion against darkness. This is living defiantly in truth, in purity, in justice and in victory despite the flooding attempts of the enemy, despite the chatter, the lies and the incessant encroachment on your territory.

5 Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light
And your judgment as the noonday.

Psalm 37:5-6

Rise up. Stand tall. Put My gaze of righteous fire in your eyes and live in defiant joy, defiant hope, and determined peace. With ferocity set up strong boundaries around your family. Protect them from the encroachment of evil. Guard your home and your little ones with prayer, with declarations and with firm moral rules about what shows, programs, apps and devices are permitted. This is war time living. So be on guard. Take a strong and watchful stance, but don’t let worry creep in and don’t let fear overtake you. Those are devices of the enemy. Live in My perfect peace, with full confidence that I Am who I say I Am, that I will do what I said I will do. I Am the God the follow through, of the break through, and I will come through for you, for your family, for the nation and the world. I will not leave you in this war state forever.

12 The wicked plots against the righteous
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
13 The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees his day is coming.
14 The wicked have drawn the sword and bent their bow
To cast down the afflicted and the needy,
To slay those who are upright in conduct.
15 Their sword will enter their own heart,
And their bows will be broken.

Psalm 37:12-15

When I make My final move in this battle, the end will be public and known by all. When I make My final move, the war will be done in a day. This is not like the wars of old with scattered battlefields that could not communicate quickly, so skirmishes outlasted the war by months. No, this is a different kind of warfare, and I will bring a decisive and final end to it in a moment.

28 For the Lord loves justice
And does not forsake His godly ones;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked will be cut off.
29 The righteous will inherit the land
And dwell in it forever.

Psalm 37:28-29

In just one day, everything will change. I Am the God of the turnaround, of resurrection, of the unexpected and the impossible. Hear Me when I say this war won’t last forever, and its conclusion will be so swift it will astonish you. The cleanup and rebuilding period will take time, but the war will end, and MUCH will change. Everything will change in just one day.

How to Respond

  • Worship the Lord.
  • Strengthen yourself in the Lord through the reading of scripture. Remind yourself of the faithfulness of God in your life, in your family and throughout the history of America.
  • Pray, Lord, help me to let go of what is out of my control. Help me to let go of worry, anxiety and stress. Help me instead to cling to You, to Your Word, Your promises and to be faithful with what You have put in my hands for this hour.
  • Declare, the war will not last forever. The Lord will bring it to a decisive and instantaneous end, and the victory will be His — and ours.
  • Decree,
    The enemy will not win.
    The enemy is already defeated, and he will experience extraordinary and decisive, very public defeat at the time and place of the Lord’s choosing.
    I will live in the confidence and strength of the Lord.
    I will live in faith, hope and love.
    I will guard my family and home with all diligence from the encroachment of the enemy.
    I will be light in the darkness and hope to those around me.
    We will join the Lord in victory.
    We will see the Lord change the whole world in just one day.
