Today’s Reading:
Jeremiah 33
2 “Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the Lord is His name, 3 ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ 4 For thus says the Lord God of Israel concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah which are broken down to make a defense against the siege ramps and against the sword, 5 ‘While they are coming to fight with the Chaldeans and to fill them with the corpses of men whom I have slain in My anger and in My wrath, and I have hidden My face from this city because of all their wickedness: 6 Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace and truth.
Jeremiah 33:2-6
The Spirit of the Lord says,
A resurrection is prepared. A resurrection is lying in wait. It appears to be dead, dormant and late. I will bring it forward in an instant.
You have been living with an infected splinter that has been way beneath the surface, unreachable for too long. This infected splinter has been causing pain as you work, causing pain as you play. It has been there reminding you of the injury, of the moment, of the inability to find a remedy. You have grown so accustomed to the pain, to the irritation, that you have stopped trying to removed the infected splinter. You have resigned yourself to the anguish, irritation and pain. It has become part of everyday life, but you have worked and worked and worked. You have been obedient to My voice, even in the midst of the unceasing pain and irritation. You have persevered, and as you have worked, I have been working out the splinter. I have been causing it to to come to a head. I have caused its ends to surface, and it’s ends will be what emerge and allow you to remove it entirely as a source of pain.
7 I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel and will rebuild them as they were at first. 8 I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me and by which they have transgressed against Me. 9 It will be to Me a name of joy, praise and glory before all the nations of the earth which will hear of all the good that I do for them, and they will fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace that I make for it.’ 10 “Thus says the Lord, ‘Yet again there will be heard in this place, of which you say, “It is a waste, without man and without beast,” that is, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast, 11 the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say,
Jeremiah 33:7-11
“Give thanks to the Lord of hosts,
For the Lord is good,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting”;
The splinter will emerge. It’s ends will be exposed, and it will be unceremoniously pulled from beneath the skin of the American people. It will be removed as a source of pain, irritation and constant anguish. I will remove the splinter of your day. And I will bring a salve that heals the infection, that reduces the inflammation and causes you to resume normal function without pain. Even still, it will be some time before the resurrection occurs. The splinter will be removed and a distance, a period of some time will lapse before the resurrection occurs.
14 ‘Behold, days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. 15 In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth.16 In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell in safety; and this is the name by which she will be called: the Lord is our righteousness.’
Jeremiah 33:14-16
The resurrection will not seem possible, will not seem feasible, will not seem apparent at all. It will seem like hope is totally lost for any resurrection, but I tell you, the resurrection is there, lying in wait. It is dormant for now. It will be dormant for some time — longer than you think you can wait. But it is there, ready for My perfect moment. Don’t give up hope. Don’t withdraw your faith. Push despite what you see. Push hard despite what you hear. I, the Lord Your God Am the One who determines the times and the seasons. I appoint kings and priests. I raise some up, and I take others down. My plan will seem like a desolate one, a desolate time, a very barren, bleak wilderness desert time. But hold on to hope. Fight with the words and the truth of your faith. The resurrection is coming when all seems lost. It yet is lying in wait.
How to Respond
- Trust the Lord regardless of what you see and hear. Trust Him to bring about the resurrection of truth, Trump and America — despite the circumstances.
- Pray, Lord, give us eyes to see and ears to hear what You are doing. Help us to understand the times and seasons. Help us to know and be obedient to the call You have placed on our lives for this hour. Protect and strengthen President Trump and his family. Encourage them. Protect, strengthen and encourage Your people Lord. Give us the joy, peace and strength, the boldness and the immovability to hold onto faith and to push forward toward the hope you have placed in our hearts for the dawning of a new day in America, for the resurrection of the true, pure America whose heart beats for You.
- Declare, the Lord will remove the splinter that has been irritating and infecting America since the inciting event. The Lord does have a resurrection lying in wait, and He has reserved it for His appointed time.
- Decree, I will stand firm. I will not be shaken. Truth, purity and justice will rise again in America. President Trump will rise again. America will rise again. America shall be saved.
