Isaiah 60
Psalm 24
60 Arise, shine, for your light has broken through!
Isaiah 60:1-3
The Eternal One’s brilliance has dawned upon you.
2 See truly; look carefully—darkness blankets the earth;
people all over are cloaked in darkness.
But God will rise and shine on you;
the Eternal’s bright glory will shine on you, a light for all to see.
3 Nations north and south, peoples east and west, will be drawn to your light,
will find purpose and direction by your light.
In the radiance of your rising, you will enlighten the leaders of nations.
The Spirit of the Lord says,
My truth is chasing them. My truth is running them down. Those who are running to escape truth, those who have refused truth, those who are ignorant to truth and those who have put their head in the sand to not see truth — My truth is chasing them down like a relentless pre-teen plays tag. The truth will chase people down, and it will touch them. It will not be deterred, and it will not be ignored. The truth will elicit a binary reaction. It will either cause the light of truth to be switched on and shine from the person whom it has touched, or it will char and fossilize them, turning their souls to ash and soot and unending blackness. Many more will turn to light than to dark. But those who become like charcoal will be seen. They will dot the scene.
“Who, then, is allowed to ascend the mountain of Yahweh? And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place? Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure, whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth, those who never deceive, whose words are sure. They will receive Yahweh’s blessing and righteousness given by the Savior-God. They will stand before God, for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob. Pause in his presence”
Psalms 24:3-6 TPT
Those who have chosen the darkness will crumble under pressure. The light brings strength, and it sustains life. Darkness only brings brittleness, fragility and decay. My ones who are shining, who have risen are shining with the light of truth, and they will march in unison. They will overtake the scene. The will occupy, and they will desire to ascend My holy mountain.
18 You’ll never hear again, “Help! Call the guards!”
Isaiah 60:18-21
Violence, destruction, and ruin will be things of the past in Jerusalem.
You will name the city walls Salvation, and the city gates Praise.
19 You won’t need the sun to brighten the day
or the moon and lamps to give you light.
20 Your sun will never set;
your moon will never be eclipsed in shadow,
For you’ll bask in the Eternal’s light and silver splendor forever.
Never again will you suffer the dark night of despair and gloom of mourning.
21 All the people will be right with God,
and they’ll stay in the land they possess forever.
Because of the nature of truth vs. darkness, because of the strength and steadfastness of the light and the fragility and weakness of the darkness, only the truth will remain. The darkness will fight a petty, mean and pathetic fight. The darkness will fight dirty with its wickedness, but it will be short-lived because there is nothing to sustain it any longer. The light will expose the darkness, and it will set the coals of darkness on fire, so they smolder and turn to ash. And My cleansing flood of justice will wash away all of the soot, all of the refuse, all of the ash, and it will wipe the land clean. The dark marks will not remain on the land. The land will be washed, cleansed and set free. The land will be healed, made whole and delivered from the reign of darkness. Arise and shine for your light is come. It’s time to stand for truth, with truth, and outshine the darkness. We are in the overtaking, the overthrowing and the cleansing.
How to Respond
- Ask the Lord what it looks like for you to stand in truth and for truth.
- Pray, Holy Spirit come. You are the author of all wisdom and truth. Show us how You want us to live in this time. Instruct us in the way we should go, and lead us into all righteousness Lord. Thank You that You are our deliverer and our reward. You are the One for whom our hearts long and our souls sing. Speak to us Lord. Help us to be correctly positioned for this monumental time of overtaking, overthrowing and cleansing in America and around the world.
- Declare, the truth is chasing down and confronting every person who has not yet been touched by truth.
- Decree, I will rise and shine. I will not sit back or wait for anyone else to do what the Lord has put on my heart to do. I will stand with truth and for truth. I will be part of a great united front of those who stand as lights of truth to the world. We will see the Lord work through us and through mighty supernatural miracles to overthrow and overtake darkness and cleanse it from our land.
