Today’s Readings:

Joel 2
Isaiah 43

16 Thus says the Lord,
Who makes a way through the sea
And a path through the mighty waters,
17 Who brings forth the chariot and the horse,
The army and the mighty man
(They will lie down together and not rise again;
They have been quenched and extinguished like a wick):
18 “Do not call to mind the former things,
Or ponder things of the past.

Isaiah 43:16-18

The Lord says,
It’s resurrection season. It’s victory after victory after victory season. It’s watch the enemy run for the hills season. It’s conquer them all season. It’s capture or kill season. This is war season. It is also victory season, and it will give way to reigning. It will give way to an era of reigning — of glorious living in My glory. This war and victory marks a massive shift in the way life is lived, in the way society operates, in the way children are raised and community connects.

19 “Behold, I will do something new,
Now it will spring forth;
Will you not be aware of it?
I will even make a roadway in the wilderness,
Rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:18-19

The victory of this war will give way to an era of new — to a time of reorganizing, tearing down and rebuilding, to starting afresh in every arena of society. This war will break the back of the corrupted status quo. It will accelerate many advances that have been held back, that have been needed, prayed for and even seen in the spirit. The victory of this war will be marked by a massive acceleration that changes life as you know it.

Structures, institutions, routines and almost everything you consider normal will shift, change and look different. Get ready to run. Get ready to shift gears from foot soldier to marathon runner. The tempo is quick, and I Am setting it. You may feel at times that you can’t keep up with the pace of change, the pace of advancing, the pace of fulfillment. This is a victory race of advancement. This acceleration is like a giant net that is scooping up and collecting all of those things that have been long awaited — prayers, dreams, desires, promises. They will be gathered into this net as you switch gears from warring to advancing, from fighting to running, from victory to victory.

23 So rejoice, O sons of Zion,
And be glad in the Lord your God;
For He has given you the early rain for your vindication.
And He has poured down for you the rain,
The early and latter rain as before.
24 The threshing floors will be full of grain,
And the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil.

Joel 2:23-24

These are glory days. These are days of shock and awe. These are days of many victories and rapid, unpredictable change. Keep your eyes on Me, and you can maintain your pace. Don’t look at your feet or overthink the race course. Just keep your eyes on Me, and keep your heart in sync with My tempo. We are shifting from warring to running, and the endurance you have built in the war will serve you well in this high tempo distance race.

25 “Then I will make up to you for the years
That the swarming locust has eaten,
The creeping locust, the stripping locust and the gnawing locust,
My great army which I sent among you.

Joel 2:25

You will say that life changed by leaps and bounds. You will be found among those who are walking and leaping and praising Me. Though the season and the purpose will click over in an instant from war to race, don’t leave out the celebration. We won’t stop for the celebration. It will be part of the race. We will run, advance and accelerate as we celebrate. Let’s go.

How to Respond

  • Ensure your eyes are on the Lord and you are moving in sync with Him.
  • Determine to be ready for change and to adapt to new realities and circumstances quickly.
  • Pray, Lord, thank You that you are moving us from a season of warring to a season of advancing and acceleration. Thank You for moving us from victory to victory and leaving none of our prayers, dreams and promises behind. You are holy. You are worthy. And Your plans are astonishingly good.
  • Declare, the Lord is moving us from a season of warring to a season of acceleration and advancement. We will win victory after victory and move into a season of many changes in society, institutions, technology and daily life.
  • Decree, the Lord will easily and decisively finish this war in victory. He is moving us into a time of acceleration, advancement and fast paced change. We are equipped with all we need to move from fighting to running. The Lord is filling the earth with the knowledge of His glory. We will see change all around. We will be ones who incorporate celebration of the Lord into the race He has called us to run and the work He puts in our hands.
