“Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.”
John 14:1 TPT
I heard the Spirit of the Living God say,
You have chosen your path. You have chosen a good path. The way forward is low. The way forward is in great humility. The new path requires it. It doesn’t require you to get smaller — to make yourself smaller. It requires you to go low. There’s a difference. You are a giant in the spirit. You are. But still you can make it through these narrow places without making yourself smaller. The way forward, the way to be successful on the path forward is to go low, to get low and to remain low. Humility is the way forward.
“I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless. If a person is separated from me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned. But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are my mature disciples who glorify my Father!”
John 15:5-8 TPT
The old ways must go. They can’t operate here. If you bring them here it will be like advancing through molasses. It won’t work. I Am opening something new in you. I Am opening the flow of My Spirit in your life in a new way. Bathe your mind in My Word. Bathe your mind in the Gospels, so you can wash your mind with My Word, My principles and the operating concepts of My Kingdom. The old ways won’t work here. The old you won’t succeed here. You must get low, and your mind must be washed and made new. Align your heart with Me. Choose to get very low. Old metrics and old grace have crumbled and been left behind in the old place. Don’t try to use them. Your new metric is the measure of My Presence, the closeness of My Presence and the tangible joy and sweetness of My pleasure abiding in every moment.
“I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts. If you keep my commands, you will live in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands, for I continually live nourished and empowered by his love. My purpose for telling you these things is so that the joy that I experience will fill your hearts with overflowing gladness!”
John 15:9-11 TPT
This is not a time of running ahead and advancing with great speed in the way that makes sense to you and to onlookers. It is getting extremely low. It is communing and abiding with Me every moment. As you do, you will see that you have been transported faster by abiding in Me, dwelling with Me and ministering to Me than you could have by running in the natural as fast as you can. Humility, deep humility and close, intertwined, unbreakable abiding, desperate abiding, unrelenting, immovable abiding is your way to advance. There is no other way that will work in this place, on this path. You have chosen well, now the assignment is to abide deeply, unbreakably, stubbornly and in full joy.
How to Respond
- Pray, Lord thank You for putting my feet on this new path. Help me to focus not on advancing but on abiding in You. Help me to wash my mind and renew it with Your Word, Your ways and Your Kingdom principles, so I can live in great faith in this new place. Help me to destroy and leave behind my old mindsets and metrics. And help me to embrace the new way forward — in humility by abiding deeply with You.
- Declare, The words Jesus has spoken over me have already cleansed me. So I must remain in life-union with Him, for He remains in life-union with me. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so my life will be fruitless unless I live my life intimately joined to Jesus. — John 15:3-4 TPT
- Decree, In this new time and on this new path, I will advance only through deep humility, by renewing my mind with the Word of the Lord and by being entwined as one with Him. As I choose to operate in this way, the Lord will advance me farther and faster than I could have gone by my best efforts in the natural. My success and advancement are direct results of my choice to be in deep humility and abide in the Lord.
